Dear Virtual Table Captain,

The health and safety of our supporters is a top priority for BHGH; thus, we have decided to cancel our “in-person” event on Friday May 8th AND GO VIRTUAL! The need to raise funds and awareness for the mission of BHGH is even more important now as 90 scholars and their families are requiring additional emotional, logistical and basic needs support from BHGH!

We know this "virtual" environment puts a new twist on things. We are hopeful that without constraints of a specific day or time, and no limit to the number at your table, BHGH will be able to secure the support needed to serve our scholars and families. WE COULD NOT DO THIS WITHOUT YOU!

Thank you,

Executive Director

Boys Hope Girls Hope of Arizona (BHGH) helps academically capable children-in-need by providing academic support, enrichment opportunities, and the resources scholars need to reach their full potential, which sometimes includes housing. At BHGH, 95% of our scholars come from low income families and will be the first in their family to graduate college. From the start of sixth grade through college graduation, scholars gain access to the resources and support necessary to obtain a college degree, become true leaders in their communities, and break the generational cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.

What is the BHGH difference?

One in five young people in Arizona have not completed high school and a similarly large proportion of young people in the state are disconnected from education—At BHGH, 100% of our scholars graduate high school and directly enroll in college.

Today’s four-year college graduates will earn nearly $1 million more over their working lives than will those who only receive a high school diploma—At BHGH, 86% of our scholars graduate from college within six years.

Program graduates are attending or have attended Arizona State University, Colgate, Colorado College, Dartmouth, DePaul University, Gonzaga, Northern Arizona University, Pepperdine, St. Anselm College, St. Louis University, St. Edwards, University of Arizona and the University of Southern California, and more. 95% of BHGH students are the first in their family to attend college.

The Residential Program serves 8 boys and 8 girls. The Academy Program serves up to 42 students. There are currently 32 young adults in the College Program for a total of 90 active BHGH Scholars.

“I am not just another number that has been affected by the influence of the BHGH community, but another life that has been changed and given the opportunity to better the world around me.

By being a part of the BHGH community, I carry the message that there is hope for all of those that go through troubles and that there are communities that are more than willing to help.”

Manny, Boys Hope alumni, GCU
