Keith uses the Scan n GO app to record his purchases!What is the main reason for joining our panel and what do you like best about being a member of the IRI Shopper Panel?The main reason I joined the shopper panel was to gain rewards that would benefit my family by saving money but at the same time assisting research into shopper habits.

The best thing about being a member is being able to access those rewards that suit my family but I also get a buzz from knowing my input is helping, as well as participating in competitions and surveys.How much time do you/ your household members spend scanning each week?Each week I would spend about 15-20 minutes unpacking our groceries and scanning them using Scan n GO. I find Scan n GO is very efficient for scanning anywhere, especially when out and about.What advice would you give to other members in terms of scanning, transmitting, or any other aspect of panel membership?I think this is great for providing extra scanning information which may otherwise be overlooked. I used to have a hand held scanner but find the app much more user friendly and highly recommend it. I also find the support offered by the panel team with any queries is excellent.What you enjoy doing in your free time?In my spare time I enjoy working on my muscle car, gardening, watching rugby league and going to the movies.What is the weirdest or funniest thing that you ever witnessed whilst shopping?The weirdest thing to happen to us was when my 10 year old daughter was accused of stealing free plastic avocado spoon/knives being given out by our local Woolworths. We asked her to get a few but she came back with about 5 and another shopper thought that was too many and complained to the store person. The staff member said to us it was ok, they had plenty and she was welcome.

Anna uses the scanner to record her purchases.What is the main reason for joining the IRI Shopper Panel and what do you like best about being a member of the panel?I joined the IRI Shopper Panel to be able to buy gifts at Christmas time. I love watching my points grow and thinking about what I can buy for my family without

ruining our budget.How much time do you spend scanning your purchases each week?We don’t spend that much time. Small shops are only a couple of minutes.If it is a big shop it can take a little time maybe 10 minutes or more, but we all get in and scan and put away as we go.What advice would you give to other members in terms of scanning, transmitting, or any other aspect of panel membership?I keep my scanner next to the phone in the kitchen so I see it every time I come home with the groceries and can quickly scan them.What do you enjoy doing in your free time?I’m not sure I have much free time, but I do enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going out for the day to a park or just somewhere different.What is the weirdest or funniest thing that you ever witnessed whilst shopping?Probably the funniest thing that has happened to me was when I thought I had lost my daughter who was 3 at the time, and I was frantically running down the aisles in the supermarket calling her name and came back to my trolley and she was sitting in the shelves next to the cereal without a care in the world. She never even knew I was running around looking for her.

Switch off the scanner from the power, wait 3 seconds then switch it back on.

Take the scanner out of the cradle, turn it on by holding the power key.

When screen displays the main menu, please scroll down to “Office Use” and press either blue key to select the option.

Screen should now display “Call for assistance”.

Press the following 3 keys one after another – LEFT BLUE, ZERO, RIGHT BLUE.

Screen should now display “Please check power and telephone… and place the scanner in the cradle”.

Place the scanner in the cradle and the screen will display “Initialising”. When the transfer is complete your scanner will show the main screen again.
