Notice: Upcoming changes to Kyushu University’s Housing Guarantor System for apartments.

Here at Kyushu University, a Housing Guarantor System is offered to International Students renting

an apartment, where Kyushu University acts as a Co-Signer, but this Housing Guarantor System will

no longer be available starting February of 2020. If you are in need of a guarantor when signing for

an apartment after February 2020, please go through a guarantor company required by the real-

estate company in which you will rent from. Please note that both students who have an existing

contract and students who will sign a contract with Kyushu University by January 31, 2020 will have

contracts that will continue until the contract meets its end date.

Moving forward, as students sign with guarantor companies, students can expect to receive proper

support and extensive services in an event of trouble.

Until 17:00pm on January 31, 2020, Guarantee Applications given under the Fukuoka Regional

International Students Housing Guarantee System (Kyushu University's Housing Guarantor System for

Apartments) will be accepted by your Student Section in which the school you belong to and will be

sent to the International Student Exchange Division. Applications are to be submitted to your Student

Section, not the International Student Exchange Division.

(*Accepted Applications are limited to applicants who complete and submit any and all housing

related paperwork by January 31, 2020.)

[After February 1, 2020]

International Students will apply to a guarantee company that their landlord or their real-estate

company desires. Students will also be required to apply for fire insurance at this time.

For international students at Kyushu University, we have developed a, ”Guarantor System for Kyushu

University International Students". But with that being said, the real-estate company or the landlord

you will be renting from, will have a guarantor company in mind that they accept for their property.

Since there are difficulties to find a guarantor person for foreigner, many of them use a guarantor company instead.

九州大学の留学生のみなさんへ

九州大学によるアパートの連帯保証制度の申請受付終了のお知らせ

九州大学では、留学生のみなさんが民間アパートに入居する際に、みなさんの連帯保証人にな

っていましたが、２０２０年２月から、保証契約申請の受付を終了します。２０２０年２月以降に、アパ

ートの契約をするときに連帯保証人が必要な場合には、不動産会社が指定する民間の保証会社

を利用してください。ただし、２０２０年１月３１日時点で、九州大学が連帯保証をしているアパートに

ついては、保証契約の終了時まで保証を継続します。今後は、民間の保証へ移行することにより、

トラブル時に専門事業者による適切な対応や手厚いサービスを受けることができます。

○ 今後について

【２０２０年１月３１日まで】

福岡地域留学生住宅保証制度（九州大学によるアパートの連帯保証制度）による連帯保証申

請（新規・更新）は、２０２０年１月３１日１７時までは、各部局を通じて国際部留学課で受け付けま

す。同日までに申請を受け付けた連帯保証契約は、保証契約の終了時まで保証を継続します。

（※受け付けは２０２０年１月３１日１７時までにアパートの契約がすべて完了するものに限ります。）

【２０２０年 2月１日以降】

希望する物件の家主が提携している民間の保証会社への申し込みが必要となります。また、

同時に火災保険への加入も求められますので、併せて加入手続きを行ってください。

九州大学の留学生については、以下の「九州大学留学生対象特別プラン」を用意しました。

ただし、最終的な保証プランの選択は、家主・不動産会社が行います。

■初回保証料（GTNが皆様の保証人代行をする為にかかる費用です）賃料合計の30％～100％（物件により異なります）※最低保証委託料15,000円例…家賃が40,000円の場合、12,000円ではなく15,000円がかかります。

■お部屋探し～保証審査の流れ①ＧＴＮが提携する不動産会社様で希望のお部屋を申し込みます。②お部屋の申込書を記入する際にＧＴＮの「保証申込書」も必要事項をご記入下さい。③在留カード、学生証の表・裏、パスポートの顔写真ページのコピーも提出して下さい。④GTNから皆様に審査電話をさせていただきます。 ※03-5956-6303よりお電話が入ります。⑤本国のご両親、国内の知人の方にも確認のお電話をさせていただきます。※ＧＴＮからお電話が入ることを必ず事前にお伝え下さい。
