Dear friends of Special Olympics Ontario,

On September 15, 2014, 144 golfers will be taking part in the 11th Annual Special Olympics Ontario’s “Tournament of Champions” golf event at ClubLink’s The Country Club. We would like to invite you to be a part of this special day as an event sponsor, participant or prize donator.

For over 40 years, Special Olympics Ontario has been enriching the lives of those who live with an intellectual disability through sport. At present, close to 17,000 athletes train at over 1,700 sports clubs in Ontario. It is estimated that there are another 100,000 or so individuals that could benefit from the work that Special Olympics Ontario does, but unfortunately there is not enough funding right now to accommodate that need.

The “Tournament of Champions” event is one way for you and/or your company to help address that issue and make that goal of helping those in need possible, and that is why we are asking for your support at this fundraising event. We ask that you please take a look through the attached Sponsorship Package and consider any of the options available. We realize that times are still difficult out there from an economic standpoint, so anything that you can provide us with, whether it is in your participation, support with prizing, or a simple financial donation to help the “cause” will be greatly appreciated. All donators will be acknowledged in the tournament’s Event Program, as well as on the “Special Supporter Golf Series” website.
