Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the organising committee it is our great pleasure to invite you to register in Barcelona to the “6th World Symposium on Lymphedema Surgery” to be held March 14th-15th, 2016.

Inspired by the success of the previous International Meetings for Lymphedema Surgery: 1st European Conference on Lymphedema Surgery – Barcelona (2011), International Symposium on Surgical Treatment of Lymphedema – Taoyuan (2013), International Symposium on Lymphedema Surgical Treatment – Barcelona (2014), Chicago Breast and Lymphedema Symposium – Chicago (2015) and the 5th World Symposium for Lymphedema Surgery – Taoyuan (2016), we are fortunate to have the opportunity to host once again the World Symposium on Lymphedema Surgery. This 6th Symposium will consist of two days of lectures, video surgery transmissions and breakout sessions. Current techniques will be presented with a clear focus on searching evidence and providing reliable results. Controversy and cross-fire debates will be the major features of this meeting in order to get audience interactivity, to define practical consensus and to promote critic assessment on the hot topics.

It is truly a special event to have so many world leaders in lymphedema surgery, lymphedema research and lymphatic system imaging, including Peter Neligan, Joseph Dayan, Francesco Boccardo, Corinne Becker, Håkan Brorson, Epameinondas Gousopoulos, Isao Koshima, Jiro Maegawa, Mark Smith, Rudinger Baumeister Takumi Yamamoto, and many others, all in one place, sharing their experiences in this field that we are all so passionate about.
