The holidays have begun

This wonderful time comes just once

These are the days to have fun with laughter and cheer

Hear the chirping of the birds, fluttering in the air

Catch up with all that you have been longing to do

Like visting a park , theater or a zoo.

Its also the time to listen to Grandma’s stories and play wonderful games with Grandpa

Forgetting all your worries .

To add to this fun time, we have prepared wonderful

activities for you in the form of Holidays Homework , We

hope you would enjoy these activities and come back to

school in July with zeal and enthusiasm.

Have loads of fun, play indoor and outdoor games, go out

for picnics and walks with your family and friends, admire

the beautiful nature, enjoy the early morning sunrise and

the evening sunset , eat healthy food, drink a lot of juices,

learn new songs and read new stories.

We will Miss you !

LET’S IMBIBE SOME MORAL VALUES AND SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT……………….. Make your child a responsible citizen: 1. Motivate him/ her to never throw the wrappers around.

Find a bin nearby and put the wrapper in it.

No dustbin nearby: put the wrapper in your

pocket and a put it in dustbin when you find

one.

Encourage them to make a small bin for the

car or carry an eco friendly bag to dispose

off any wrappers. ’NEVER THROW THEM ON STREETS’.

2. ‘RESOURCES ONCE WASTED CAN NOT BE USED BY ANYONE’.

Motivate the students to turn off lights and other electrical appliances whenever they leave the room.

Guide your child to take a small portion of serving (food) in the plate, so as he/she can finish the food.

Guide your child not to waste water. Every drop is precious!

The best way to work on your talent is to participate and use these vacation to

prepare the child for the following:

COMPETITION AND ACTIVITIES :

TALENT HUNT COMPETITION

Categories :

Music : Vocal (Western / Semi Classical / Classical)

Dance : Any form

Mimicry / Mono-acting

Rules And Regulations : 1. Any indecent lyrics/dialogues won’t be accepted.

2. Time limit 2-3 minutes.

3. In case of dance performance , Pen drive should contain only that song / music

on which the child will be performing. Send the labeled Pen drive in the school

by July 12, 2019.

4. It should be a solo performance.

5. Child will perform in school uniform only.

6. Shortlisted students will be called for the final round of Talent Hunt Show.

CLASS UKG A & UKG B : July 23 (Tuesday), 2019 (FIRST ROUND)

CLASS UKG C & UKG D : July 24 (Wednesday), 2019 (FIRST ROUND)

SHOW AND TELL or JAM SESSION

Children should be encouraged to speak 5-6 lines on any topic e.g

water bottle( colour , shape ,size ,useful, easy to carry , made of, light weight ,

picture of cartoon on it ) , Apple , Orange , Pencil , My Bag , Cow etc .

Students will be assessed after the vacation.

SCHOOL MAGAZINE : We shall be releasing the next issue of our school

magazine ‘SANDESH’ . Children can submit their original of any poem or short

story to the Class Incharge after the vacation.

MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT COPIED.

SUMMER BREAK: June 1 to July 10, 2019*

The School shall reopen on July 11, 2019*

1. Let’s work on handwriting during these vacation. Please finish your

work in legible and neat hand writing . Stress to be laid on formation of

letters .

2. Submit all the holiday’s homework worksheets and creative work in a

Handmade Creative folder .

3. Kindly note that planner from April to September has been uploaded on the

school website. Encourage the child to revise the rhymes during the

summer vacation.

4. To facilitate the teachers for checking of holiday homework thoroughly,

submit the homework by July 5 ,2019 at Urban Estate Branch

between 10 am to 12 noon.

CREATIVE WORK:

( YUMMY FOR TUMMY (Making Table Mat)

OBJECTIVE: Awareness about dining etiquettes and visual recognition of

fruits.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: A3 size pastel sheet (any color), glue, crayons,

cutout / sticker of your child’s favorite fruit, colors.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1- Make a border on both the sides of A3 pastel sheet by using

vegetable printing. (Ladyfinger, potato, lotus stem, onion etc.)

Step 2- Tear the cutouts /sticker of your child’s favourite fruit and paste it

on the pastel sheet as shown in the sample.

MY FAVOURITE FRUIT

Step 3- For another side of the mat take cut outs of numbers 1-9 and do

ear bud printing using poster colours on it and then paste numbers in a

sequence as shown in the sample.

Step 4- Label your mat and get it laminated.
