Are you interested in or about to start university?DeakinStart is a free four week tertiary preparation program delivered at Deakin’s Learning Centres in Dandenong and Werribee.
DeakinStart offers a supported and inclusive learning environment to help prepare you for life at university and ease your transition into university study.
The program is designed to assist you whether you are a potential applicant or have already received a university offer.
What will the program cover?Topics covered include learning at university, critical thinking, academic writing and researching, referencing, literacy and numeracy skills, introduction to the library, career guidance and an overview of student services. Students will also be introduced to studying online and the Deakin student portal.
When?The four-week program will be conducted from Monday 16 January 2017 to Wednesday 8 February 2017 at the Dandenong Learning Centre and Werribee Learning Centre.
The program will be held three days per week (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday) and includes two sessions per day 9.00am–12.00pm and 1.00–4.00pm.

Applications close Wednesday 11 January 2017.
Cost DeakinStart is a free course – there are no course fees.
