1. How do De Shamonix use the medium of music video to promote themselves?
2. Within the presentation I am going to look at Des music video for their first single Help Yourself. This is as of yet their only song to be accompanied by a music video, so I dont have much to go by, but hopefuly there will be some aspects of the video that help me understand how they are trying to promote themselves.
3. As you can see from all of the screenshots beside and below taken from the video, there are a lot of close up shots of the band, promoting the artists themselves along with the track.
4. By listening to De Shamonixs music you can place them in the indie rock genre, and the video fits in with this genre. The low key lighitng doesnt draw attention particuarly to the video itself, it is a very simple video, they want the audiences attention to be on the song itself.
5. The notion of looking is used within the video to create a sex appeal towards the band. Girls come into the video as the last chorus is being sung, where they corress the band as they are playing.
