    CONSTITUTIONAL GUIDELINES

    PREAMBLEWe the members of the De La Salle Outdoor ClubCanlubang, swear todevelop ourselves as dynamic and progressive members of our communityby promoting environmental awareness, environment-friendly and healthylifestyles, and disaster preparedness, by engaging in outdoor activities andskills-acquisition..

    ARTICLE I. NameSection 1. Exact Title/Name of the Organization

    DE LA SALLE OUTDOOR CLUB-CANLUBANG

    Section2. Other Title/Name of the Organization

    De La Salle OCC

    ARTICLE II. PurposeSection 1.

    To promote students welfare, good health, disaster response andenvironmental awareness through

    Outdoor Adventure Activities that arefounded on the Experiential Learning Model; i.e., the best way to learnis to have a direct experience with your environment.

    Section2.

    The organization will adhere with the policies of the Co llege StudentsAffair as a recognized student organization of DLS-Canlubang and willcome up with programs and activities that complement the academic

    ARTICLE III. MembershipSection 1. Membership

    Members of the De La Salle OCC shall be student/alumni of De LaSalle-Canlubang

    Section 2. Rights of Members Members shall have the following Rights:

    a. To exercise to vote on all matters relating to the affairs of theorganization;

    b. To be eligible to any elective or appointive office of theorganization;

    c. To avail of all equipment and facilities of the organization;

    Section3. Duties and Responsibilities of the members- Members shall have

    the following Duties and Responsibilities:

    a. To obey and comply with the by-laws, rules and regulations thatmay be promulgated by the organization from time to time;

    b. To attend all meetings that may be called by the organizationsofficers;

    c. To pay membership dues and other assessment of the organization.

    Section 4. Suspension, Expulsion and Termination of Membership

    Suspension, expulsion and termination of membership, shall be inaccordance with the rules and regulations of the organization.

    Any member of the organization may file charges against a member byfiling a written complaint with the president and shall call a special meetingof the officers to consider the charges. The affirmative 1/3 of all the membersof the organization shall be necessary to suspend a member; Provided thatwhere the penalty of expulsion, the affirmative vote of 2/3 of all the membersshall be necessary to expel a member.

    Section 5. Voluntary Withdrawal of Membership

    a. Members can file his/her voluntary withdrawal from theorganization by writing to the president of the organization andstating the reason/s for the withdrawal

    ARTICLE IV. Officers

    Section 1. Officers The officers of the organization shall compose of seven(7) members and a full-time student of DLS-C upon election. They shall beelected by the general membership of the organization.

    ARTICLE V. Operations

    Section 1. Title of the Officers :

    a. President

    b. Vice-President

    c. Secretary

    d. Treasurer

    e. Auditor

    f. Education & Training Officer

    g. Physical Fitness Office

    Section3. Terms of Office of Officers All Officers of the Organization shallhold office for one year (3 DLS-C School Terms) and until their successors areduly elected and qualified. Voting will be secret balloting , election will beconducted every 3 rd or 4 th week of the 1 st term of every Academic Year.

    Section 3. Functions & Powers of Officers

    a. PRESIDENT - Shall be the Chief Executive Officer of theorganization. In addition to his duties as such. He shall preside in allmeetings of the officers and general member s of the organization.

    b. VICE-PRESIDENT Shall exercise all powers and performs all dutiesof the president during his absence or incapacity of the later andshall perform other duties that maybe assigned.

    c. SECRETARY Shall give notices required by the organization, keepsthe records of minutes of the meetings of the organization kept ina book or record for the purpose. Keeps custody of thecorrespondence files and all other papers, maintain the membersregister , have charge of the bulletin board and shall perform otherduties that maybe assigned.

    d. TREASURER Shall have charge of the funds, receipts anddisbursement o f the organization. Keeps all moneys and othervaluables in such bank/s as designated by the officers, keeps andhave charge of the books of accounts which shall be open toinspection by any members, whenever required , an account of

    financial condition of the organization and all transaction made byhim/her as treasurer. Perform other duties that maybe assigned.

    e. AUDITOR Shall examine financial records and audit money andequipment /facilities of the organization, perform other duties thatmaybe assigned.

    f. EDUCATION & TRAINING OFFICER Shall be in charge of thetraining and education of all members of the organization. Thisofficer shall develop training manuals, programs and activities.Shall perform other duties that maybe assigned.

    g. PHYSICAL FITNESS OFFICER Shall create physical fitness anddevelopment programs that all members of the organization shallgo through prior to major activities. Shall perform other duties thatmaybe assigned.

    Section 4. Vacancies of Position

    a. President Election within the remaining Officers of theorganization;

    b. Vice-President down the line To be appointed by the President.

    ARTICLE VI. Finances

    Section 1. Internal Fund Sourcing

    a. Application Fees funds shall derived from a minimal amount of application fee will be charge to all applicants of the organization;

    b. Membership Due every member of the organization, who will beinducted as member De La Salle Outdoor Club-Canlubang will paya annual membership fee in addition to dues and/or assessmentthat may be imposed by the organization from time to time.

    c. Funding through the University if applicable.

    a. Donation from DLS-C Alumni Association

    b. Environmental Organization

    c. Others

    Section2. Compliance with DLS-C financial Policies the Organization willcomply with all financial policies as mandated by the DLS-C accountingoffice.

    ARTICLE VII. Amendments

    Section 1. Amendments - These by-laws, or any provision thereof, may beamended or repealed by a majority vote of the general membership at anyregular or special meeting duly held for the purpose.
