About us

Our Team

We continuously train our employees in order to educate our team to be well-prepared for the changing needs of the industry. Some staff members have been with us since the founding of the company, other specialists are enriching our staff continuously. The HANSA team consists of experienced experts in the field of air conditioning device production and the associated specialized fields of refrigeration technique, control engineering and control. We have excellent organizational means and state-of-the-art manufacturing machines. The construction and production are performed in QM-conditions according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

Our philosophy

Our goal is to optimally comply with the climate re-quirements of our customers and to contribute to the protection of the environment. We offer therefore sys-tems that can be adapted to the individual operating conditions of the customers at low energy consumpti-on thanks to flexible production processes and up-to-date components. As the energy demand of the over-all system and the individual modules can be reduced without affecting the efficiency of the system, the investment and energy costs will decrease likewise.

Our company, the HANSA Klimasysteme GmbH, was founded in 1971 and is based in Strücklingen in the municipality Saterland that is known to be the tiniest linguistic enclave in Germany for its Saterfrisian dialect. In contrast, we speak in plain language about our products. We have been guaranteeing sophisticated and high-quality air conditioning systems for more than 40 years.

The company

Since the founding of the company, we have been known for the construction of air-conditioning systems for schools, sports halls, swimming pools and hospitals as well as for the use in industries and process engineering in Germany and far beyond. Based on our experience with these systems, we have developed a wide range of air conditioning devices that we are pleased to present in our delivery program.

Our constructive solutions for the continuously increasing of today‘s indoor air quality needs guarantee a constant quality, functionality, and reliability with increasing energy efficiency levels. Many property rights have been registered at the European Patent Office during the development processes and have been considered worthy of patents and protection.

As member of the association of manufacturers for air conditioning devices (RLT Herstellerverbandes e.V.), we undertake to construct our devices according to the associations’ guidelines to always guarantee quality, operational safety and legal security for our customers and operators of our devices.

Winter operating mode When outside temperatures are low, the outside/return airflow ratio is reduced to the amount hygienically necessary.

The moisture extraction capacity via the plate heat exchanger is increased by the cold outside air. The heat pump is used in order to further increase dehumidification capacity. The con-densation heat generated by this is fed into the swimming pool via the supply air; excess en-ergy from this process is released to the pool water (optional).

Operation in transition periods (spring/autumn)

Only small transmission losses occur with mod-erate outside temperatures. For moisture extrac-tion, the unit is operated with 100 % outside air and the plate heat exchanger is fully activated for energy recovery. Additional heat demand can be satisfied by the heat pump or the hot water coil.

Summer operating mode

Unlike the previous working condition, as tem-peratures increase, the plate heat exchanger is only charged with an infinitely variable partial airflow. This stops the swimming pool over-heating and guarantees a comfortable climate.

Functional description (example: Pool Line PT with heat pump)

Summer operating mode with a high outside temperature

The swimming pool hall is supplied with pure outside air; heat recovery is not required. The volume of air is regulated on a sliding basis in dependence of the moisture extraction required.

Unoccupied (Rest) operating mode No fresh air feed is necessary during rest operating mode. The volume of air is reduced. The unit ensures that the temperature is main-tained and that sufficient air flows through the swimming pool hall. The humidity of the swim-ming pool hall corresponds to the set points.

Rest dehumidification operating mode

If the humidity set points of the swimming pool hall are not fulfilled in rest operating mode, dehumidification is performed by the heat pump with a reduced volume of air. The reduction in the volume of air simultaneously increases dehumidification capacity. No supply of fresh air is required in rest operating mode.
