the Colombian coffee growers.

• Coffee zone: 3.3 million hectares (8.25 million acres)

• Coffee area: 870,000 hectares (2.18 million acres)

• Colombia Coffee Sector is a crucial element in the nation’s social stability:

– Constitutes 25% of Colombia’s agricultural GDP;

– Generates 27% of its agricultural employment;

– Two million Colombians directly depend on the income generated by coffee.
