0.0-5*0 :OVERBURDEN.5.0-5.6 :GREENSTONE. Pale groon-gray, quite siliceous, hard. Massive
to slightly schistose. Less than 20;a carbonate.5.6-19.0 :QUARTZ FELDSPAR PORPHYRY. Gray-white. Hard, massive. Matrix
felsitic, pale whitish gray, feldspathic. Indistinct ghostlike phenocrysts of white feldspar from tiny specks to -l" size. Quartz phenocrysts irregular but tending to
--- - - subrounded and up to 1/8" in diameter. Rare specks of fine dissem pyrite occasionally.
19.0B05QO :QUARTZ CARBONATE SERICITE SCHIST. Qtz-carb intimately mixed with sericite schist but tending to form lenses, streaks and clots. Sericite up to 50#. Schistocity at 600 to core angle. Occasional small streaks of pyrite, dissem inated. Pyrite in small cubes or pentagonal shapes and usually striated on crystal faces.
25.0-125.0:CARBONATIZED GREENSTONE. Color medium bluish gray. Massive to slightly schistose at 60 0 to core angle. Cut up by carbonate lenses (and very little quartz). Carbonate lenses about 30/2. After 72.5? greenstone is a darker color and fewer carbonate lenses (about 15/2)* The green stone is carbonatized right to nrd of the hole but the carbonate lenses get fewer and fewer and greenstone darker in color. Occasional epidote in spots. The greenstone appears to be a carbonatized andesite.
