The Festival Launches in Less Than 3 Weeks! EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENTS We featured acclaimed jazz vocalist Lena Seikaly with a live band at Bossa Cafe. We held a Tweet-Up to show a sneak peek of this year’s film at Busboys & Poets. We are collaborating with several DC-based institutions including Georgetown’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies, The Jerusalem Fund, the Institute for Palestine Studies, and the Arab- American Institute who provided us with a full-time summer intern. We met our online fundraising goal of $5,000 66 hours before the close of our online campaign. Projacs International donated $5,000. We created a new logo (see above!) We overhauled our website. DCPFAF NEWSLETTER September 9, 2013 The DC Palestinian Film and Arts Festival will kick-off in less than three weeks (28 Sept- 5 Oct 2013). The Festival will last eight-days and include an art exhibit, two nights of short films, 5 feature films, discussions with the filmmakers, a dialogue between African-American and Arab- American media workers, and several receptions.
