A DCP consists of movie content and additional information like encryption, composition play lists e.g. for multi-lingual content versions. The DCP Analyzer is able to easily verify whether the DCP structure is com- pliant to the SMPTE specifications. The validation process concentrates on three different data format used within a DCP: The JPEG2000 Format: Validation of JPEG2000 codestream structure and correctness of header meta data The MXF Format: Presence test of required metadata and use of correct Operational MXF Patterns The XML Format: XML Syntax validation and check of correct hash va- lues, validity and accuracy of signatures and other XML fields The DCP Analyzer checks if parameters within the DCP are constantly cor- rect within its whole structure: for example whether the resolution of all images are correct in all parts of the DCP. A graphic user interface allows to easily inspect every human readable data field. The preview of the DCP´s visual content within its integrated JPEG2000 media player is also possible. All operations described above can be applied on unencrypted as well as on encrypted DCPs. The operation mode of the DCP Analyzer can be switched between J2K INTEROP validation or/and SMPTE validation. A free configurable detail level of the displayed results gives the operator the possibility to show the results of each validation step or to hide informative messages. The output of the results is displayed in a separate window and can be stored in table form file for the logging of all tests processed.

DCP Analyzer Analyzing Tool for Digital Cinema Packages

DCP (Digital Cinema Package) is the new digital distribution format that will replace film on reels. A DCP consists of movie content and additional information like encryption, composition play lists e.g. for multi-lingual content versions.

The DCP Analyzer is able to easily verify whether the DCP structure is com-pliant to the SMPTE specifications. The validation process concentrates on three different data format used within a DCP:

The JPEG2000 Format: Validation of JPEG2000 codestream structure and correctness of header meta data

The MXF Format: Presence test of required metadata and use of correct Operational MXF Patterns

The XML Format: XML Syntax validation and check of correct hash va-lues, validity and accuracy of signatures and other XML fields

The DCP Analyzer checks if parameters within the DCP are constantly cor-rect within its whole structure: for example whether the resolution of all images are correct in all parts of the DCP.A graphic user interface allows to easily inspect every human readable data field.
