Nominees to DCL Friends Board

During the Annual Meeting, Jan. 18, 2014, at 2:00pm, DCL Friends members will vote to approve

the 2014 budget and to accept the nominees to the DCL Friends Board for a term of 3 years each.

Current DCL Friends Board members who are renewing for their 2nd term are Lynn Berman, Nancy

Ebersole, and Sibyl Smith. New nominees are Raymond O’Connell, Karen Fruehan, Jean Eschner,

Helen Reyzak, Pavlina Ivanova, and Shelly Field.

Additional nominees from the floor may also be accepted. Any DCL Friends member who is present

at the annual meeting is eligible to vote on the above new nominees to the DCL Friends Board.

The Nominating Committee will also present the following list for officers: Larry Hoefler, President;

Gretchen Roberts, Vice President; Sandra Abbott, Secretary; and Mike Kimber, Treasurer. The new

DCL Friends Board will then vote on the above nominations for the officers to serve in 2014.

Our special thanks to Daryl Gonchoroff, our retiring President, and to Barbara Stratton, our retiring

Vice President, for their faithful service of 6 years on the DCL Friends Board, the maximum permit-

ted by our By Laws. Barb Stratton will continue to serve as Chairperson on the Tea Committee of

the DCL Friends. Our thanks to Joe Macie for serving 3 years on the DCL Friends Board and the

Tribute Committee.

Joanne Chamberlain, Hildy Osborn, and Anna Bridy, all former DCL Friends Board members, visit

the Nottingham Retirement Community the 3rd Wed. every month. They bring a collection of large-

print books from which residents can select to checkout, books that residents requested from our

library, and return books.

Our thanks for DCL Friends like them.

With your support and participation, the DCL Friends raised just over $3200 with 8 fundraising pro-

grams in 2013. All of these funds are marked to support library projects in 2014 budget of the DCL

Friends. Our library director and library staff will guide the 2014 DCL Friends Board of the library’s

needs. We thank Barnes and Noble and Shoppingtown Mall for their help. And we thank you and

hope that you enjoyed our tea program, bake sales, afghan raffle, and antique appraisal programs.

The DCL Friends look forward to again sponsoring the family entertainment programs in 2014 to help

promote summer reading. Watch for updates on our next annual tea program coming in May.

Thank you for Your Support
