BOREAS Klima is an engineering and manufacturing company that offers end-to-end system solutions for special buildings such as hospitals and hotels, industrial buildings and data centers. BOREAS Klima has been manufacturing and selling its central air conditioning units and specially designed products for data centers in its factory with a production area of 10,000 square meters in Hadımköy, Istanbul since 2014.

Cooling data centers and other critical environments is a challenging situation that can vary continuously. Boreas' innovative DC Pro DX series, which prioritizes energy saving, overcomes this challenge by providing uninterrupted system reliability thanks to its 11 models in total and its cooling capacity range from 7 kW up to 78 kW.

Choosing the accurate cooling system type is one of the most critical decisions in data center design. To prevent IT equipment malfunction and prolong its life, it is very important to remove the heat generated by these equipment out of the data centers. These units, commonly known as the Precision Control Unit (PAC) or Computer Room Unit (CRAC), are designed for environments such as system rooms, data centers, telecommunication centers where it is critical to keep the temperature and humidity values constant at desired values.

In order for the evaporators of the DC Pro unit to be highly efficient, the lamellae are designed with turbulators, hydrophilic coated and grooved copper pipes. In this way, the refrigerant passes through these pipes by rotating. This rotation forces the refrigerant towards the inner surface of the coil, resulting in higher heat transfer and higher efficiency.

Variable Speed Compressor, available in dual circuit models, provides more precise capacity modulation to accurately meet the changing temperature demands of the data center. It helps to maintain the optimum temperature range much more precisely, rather than simply turning the unit on or off at preset temperatures. This technology helps to reduce energy consumption, significantly saving energy.

Highly efficient fans with EC motor, which provide speed control proportionally, consume less energy and produce less noise than conventional fans with AC motor. These fans also distribute the air radially and at a lower speed, thus maintaining proper room temperatures by allowing the cool air to be distributed more uniformly into the environment.

Extensive Coil Surface:

The curved G4 panel filters in front of the coil reduce the pressure drop on the air side, which increases efficiency and dust holding capacity.

DC Pro's air-cooled condenser can provide the highest efficiency in variable weather conditions with its variable speed control feature, silent axial fans with EC motor, easy-to-clean Cu/Al coil with adjusted distance fins and low-pressure losses on the air side.

Highly efficient heat exchangers providing indirect evaporative cooling have been developed and tested for use in data centers with adiabatic cooling and mechanical cooling features.
