New York City, Thursday 7th of April , DC has launched the BURNING INK Art show at Frank’s Chop Shop , one of the most famous and trendy Barber Shop in town. 12 drawings to be tattooed…Or burnt at the end of the Exhibition, on the 28th of April. Selected happy people were present for the launch to discover all creations and meet Artists such as : Supakitch, koralie, Rostarr, Madluv Co.op , Chloe Trujillo , Spoe .. X Ghetto’s drawing was already picked by Frank’s Chop Shop‘s Mister B. Artist Jose Parla, French Singer Emilie Simon and Journalist Jamie Brisick came also to have some drinks and share good vibes. To follow the launch, an afterparty was organised at the Cafe Select, on Lafayette Street where all crowd moved in the evening for more drinks, music and sharing.

• Snowfuture board test 2011

This year was the 8th edition of the snowfuture in Piau Engaly. Lots of brands such as Apo, Burton, Flow, Nitro, Bataleon etc… were there on the 9 and 10th of April to make people test the new range of 2012. Despite the lack of snow and the weather on Sunday, the few people who came were really looking for testing new DC boards. About 40 boards were tested all week end long with really good feedbacks specially on the Ply !

Considered one of the world's best Under-21 surfers and already both ASP European Junior and Open Men's champion, multi ASP Pro Junior events winner, Lacomare once again matched expectations finding his way through to the Quarterfinals of an intense event that saw a majority of ASP Elite members attend.

The team is now ready for the second annual Guru of the Granite. DC and Monster real street contest in Oslo.

DC Rider Josef Scott Jatta and Joel Svärd teamed up with Koffe Hallgren and Christian Ingelhammar and won the competition ”grupptryck3” The competition was arranged by Streetlab and held in Malmö. • DC Sweden riders On the youtube channel for Skateout/DC sweden Josef Scott Jatta has a new clip and Johan Foppa Forsberg and Janne Hautajärvi has footage from a trip to Norrköping. • Janne Hautajärvi He is keeping busy and bulding a new DIY park in Fagersta. The park is getting a lot of attention!

He is working hard on filming for a new video part that will be releases soon. He said he been saving a lot of great material for it so look out for that! Johan Karlsson broke his arm recently but has now gotten rid of the cast and is super stoked to film some more before the snowboard season ends, this new footage will be a great addition to all the great material he already have filmed this season. Tobias Larsson got a a concusion from a bail at practice on the national snowboard championship but has now recovered and is also filming some last minute footage for this season. Both riders footage will be shown in a new snowboard film by quite alright productions.

• Swedish national snowboard championships The Swedish national championship in Snowboard was held the 7th to 10th of april in Kläppen/sälen. DC was one of the main sponsors. The event was a great sucess for DC and its riders. We did board test for the visitors with the W12 Boards and had a great respons! Especially the PLY board. DC rider Måns Hedberg won both halfpipe and snowboardcross and 2nd place in slopestyle. Unfortunately both DC senior riders present at the competion where injured and could’t comepete but they will be back!

• DC sponsored Race driver Thed Björk He’s competing this year in a racing event called Camaro Cup. Thed Björk is one of Swedens most famous race-drivers. The camaro cup events is about to start and the 15th of april was the first test-driving of the car. Thed said after the test that the car feelt great! Maybe it’s the DC logo that does it.

• DC to sponsor Junkyards skateboard games

The next big thing coming up is the Junkyard Skateboard Games. This will be one of the biggest skateboard competitions ever in Sweden. DC are one of the main sponsors and we have a DC obstacle on the course. Josef Scott Jatta and Wes Kramer are a few of the great skaters that are entering the competition. • DC Kirovsk Lab DC Kirovsk LAB is the Russian spring snowboard camp. The camp goes from 23 till 30 of April in the Kirovsk city behind the Polar circle (not so far from Norway). • DC « come together » skate tour

The video from Ceaseria, was a video clip from the first stop of the COME TOGETHER skate tour. In this tour DC Israel team along with Zion Skateboards team are taking once a month their skate session to a different city in either a skate park or a street spot. In the skate session the team riders skate TOGETHER with the local skaters in their spots and hand out DC & ZION goods to outstanding local skaters. Sometimes it would be a for a best trick and sometime it will be for the all around outstanding performance.
