Rated at 400 Ampere continuous at 600 VDC in still air with a maximum interrupt rating of 600 kW@ 300 VDC/500 kW@ 500 VDC. Available with SPNO, SPDT, or Series Field Reverser main pole configurations, and can be ordered with or without perma-nent magnet arc chutes. Witharc chute, it is polarized with respect to arc interruption: external power connections must observe proper polarity, as marked on the power connection terminals, to provide proper arc interruption. When used, the permanent-magnet-type arc chute provides full inter-rupting capability on normally open power contacts only. For normally closed power contacts (SPDT and reverser), the applica-tion should be reviewed to ensure make-and-break capabilities of the normally closed power contacts are not exceeded.

Available in ratings from 12 VDC to 250 VDC, coils are designed for continuous dutyand are provided with screw terminals. ACcoil operation requires a full- wave bridgerectifier.

Pilot Duty auxiliary contact blocks areavailable in 1NO&1NC and 2NO&2NCconfigurations.

Vertical mounting is recommended for thiscontactor (consult factory for non-verticalmounting considerations). Each device isprovided with either an insulated mountingsheet (sheet mounted) or insulated mount-ing base (base mounted) for mounting onconductive surfaces, and the insulatedmounting base provides a location formounting a full-wave bridge rectifier forAC operation. All terminals and mountingholes are front-accessible for ease ofmounting and wiring with the providedhardware. Front-accessible arc chutes canbe easily removed/replaced without tools.

Silver alloy main contact tips with generouswiping action provide high closing capabili-ty and a reliable, low- resistance main contact circuit. Steel components are zinc-dichromate plated for corrosion resistance,while the stainless steel springs are low-stressed for long life.
