PRESIDIO PARKWAY OVERVIEW
The Presidio Parkway is located within a National Park and is managed by both the National Park Service and appointed members of the Presidio Trust.
The Park consists of a myriad of trees - eucalyptus, pine and cypress - contained within a 300-acre forest. Its environment includes habitats for 230 species of birds, 30 butterfly species, and 60 bee species and has a rich collection of historic gardens and ornamental plantings, including rare 100-year-old hybrids. • The Van Ness Transit Corridor Improvement Project is a package of transit and pedestrian safety improvements including: – Bus Rapid Transit with center-running, dedicated transit-only lanes
– Enhanced boarding platforms
– New traffic signals
• Budget – Core Project Valued at $162 Million
– Total Van Ness Corridor Improvement Valued at $261 Million
• Funding: – Project Fully Funded through variety of sources:
• FTA Small Starts
• San Francisco Prop K funds
• Developer contributions
• Associated projects of Van Ness BRT funded by FTA Formula Funds, San Francisco Prop K funds, and regional and statewide sources
Service Specialties
• CM/GC with significant experience in constructing complex projects, involving multiple disciplines, on a major and heavily congested City transit corridor, often with tight working spaces.
• A support team of Core Subcontractors (CS Team) including: paving, overhead contact system, sewer and water main replacement, and traffic control.
• Pre-construction services including constructability reviews, cost consulting, schedule development, and value engineering for improved design.
• Potential construction services will involve assembly and bidding out packages for trade subcontracts that are not part of its CS Team, scheduling, coordinating, sequencing, and managing the work performed by the trade subcontractors, as well as self-performing certain core construction work.
