PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Regional Cross Country

Congratulations to all our athletes and families who

were involved in the Regional Cross Country

championships in Warrnambool on Monday. From all

accounts it was very chilly but all children represented

the school extremely well. Well done to all our

students who competed!

We now have four children, Charlotte, Zac, James &

Erin, who will be competing in the Victorian

championships at Bundoora later in the year. This is a

fabulous achievement and we wish them good luck.

Sausage Roll and Soup Day

A huge thank you to the parents and community

members who worked so diligently, cooking sausage

rolls and soup for the children at the school. Once

again, it demonstrates the generosity of the Daylesford

community and is very much appreciated by all. The

sausage rolls were delicious and likewise the soup was

a treat. Special thanks to Lindy Churches, Jo Steiner &

Rheannon Owen for organising this venture and

thankyou one and all for your contribution!

If you believe that you can assist in any way to help

support school programs please contact either myself

or Karen McHugh and we will ensure that your

assistance is encouraged.

People Who Help Us Day

The juniors have had a very exciting morning with their

program entitled “People Who Help Us.” At the time

of writing we are in preparation for a helicopter

landing on the school oval (Helicopter Paramedics), we

have the SES, Ambulance, Police, CFA and finally Triple

Zero here, actively involving the children in this exciting

program for all. Thank you to our organisers, as well as

the representatives from each organisation, who have

gone above and beyond to make this a memorable

learning experience for all our junior students.

School Photos

Just a quick reminder that the Daylesford and

Drummond school photo opportunity will be held at

Daylesford Primary School next Wednesday the 14th of

June. We would like everyone in school uniform. All

photos will be taken from 9am and the school photo

sessions should conclude mid morning. Thank you in

anticipation.

Pupil Free Day and Queens Birthday Holiday

Just a reminder that tomorrow is a pupil free day.

Teachers will be working hard completing student

reports. Likewise, throughout Victoria, it is a

designated holiday on Monday (Queens Birthday).

I hope you all have an enjoyable long weekend.
