In A Few Words...
Which talent would you most like to have? My first answer would be to read minds, but my kids corrected me
and said that's a super power - not a talent. I would love to havethe ability to draw. My two sisters are both great artists.

I always wanted to sit and draw beautiful things... there'ssomething peaceful and satisfying to that. I can draw,
but I'm no Picasso.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? My greatest achievement would have to be my two children- Grace
and Jett. I’m an incredibly proud mama -and very happy they are growing into fine young adults.
In the set decorating world, my greatest achievement is beingnominated for 2 Emmys in the same year for 2 different shows.
Which word or phrase do you most overuse? Are curse words allowed? Seriously, I do tend to overuse the “F” word - but in a good way. I also say "Oh my god I love it!"
I’m also overheard much of the time starting out a sentence with "Let me tell you something”
What do you look for on the Craft Services table?I wish I could say healthy treats but I tend to be on the
look out for Laffy Taffy
Please name a benefit of being an SDSA member. For me it’s a network, a community. I get to interact with people inthe same business as myself who have the same interests and can
relate to what we do on a day-to-day basis. I like to read about other decorators on the SDSA website and see what they are doingand look at all the wonderful work. I also like to be in tune with the
business members. Being an SDSA member is very resourceful -you kind of have the film world at your fingertips.

In the July 2015 issue, Laura Richarz was misquoted in the Decorator Spotlight.
The correct quote is:
Which word or phrase do you most overuse?"I don't want it to attract too much attention"
(referring to a piece of set dressing not attracting too much attention)
Apologies to Laura. The Buzz regrets the error.
