A LOOK AT KANEThe warrior we will be looking at is a 25 year old man. He is about two meters tall. After an interview with Kane, he says that the reasons he is in that army is that his mom was a teacher at the school that would teach somebody how to be in the army. The other thing is that warriors were believed to be one of the most beloved people that everyone could be. In his mind, he is very lucky. He is also lucky that he has his own house. When he was a boy, three generations of family

lived in his not very large roundhouse. Recently, his wife divorced with him and took their children. So he lives by himself.

When he was a child, he was adopted. This was normal; many children do this. From when he was adopted, he went straight to training and becoming a warrior. He has not seen his parents in about 20 years.

If you were a Celt, your livestock would have been roaming around your house. That way they would not get taken.

Morning in the RoundhouseWhen Kane woke up, he did not seem happy. I guess it would be hard to keep your spirits up without anybody to talk to. It is sad when you have encountered divorce, but there is nothing he could do about it. That is just one of woman’s many rights. As he walked away from his bed, he kicked a cow angrily. Even without any people in the house, it is still crowded. For breakfast, Kane ate an egg, blueberries, and a squirrel.

He had to let his livestock out if he wanted to get out too. It was time for

him to hunt. It was early, but if he got his food now, it would make

an easier day. Kane took his dog, sword, and spear, then took off. He

ran into the woods, his dog rightbehind him. With every pace, he

gained ground. Then he saw it. A perfect dinner. It was a deer. He

took his spear, then got a good angle. In seconds, his spear was

flying through the air. With his dog behind him, he ran and picked up the

deer.

INCOMING MESSAGE: KING NEEDS WARRIORSThis just in, a horse has ridden through the town saying Kane’s king is in need of his warriors. Kane jumped in a horse-drawn chariot and went full speed to where his king lives. With the sword at his side, he was ready for a battle if needed. Even I was wondering what the king needed him to do. When he finally got there, the king told them.

“We are being raided from the southeast side. The high king has requested a few armies. Since we are closest, we will be one of them.

Horse drawn chariots are often used in emergency.

A king is also in charge of his army.

Let us hope we are victorious. CHARGE!” and with that the entire army was off. I could not tell how many there were. But there were a lot of soldiers running off into the trees. It looked as if it would take three whole armies to take them down. After the Celtic army saw the raiders, they did not seem as enthusiastic. They turned out to be a part of a Roman army.

BATTLE BETWEEN ROME AND CELTSCivilizations fought often, so this was not too odd. Both armies were ready. It was a hard fought battle between the two. All you could hear was battle cries and the clashing of swords and shields. Occasionally you could hear the loud neighing of a horse. Both sides were losing men. But, both sides were still going strong. But, it turns out that the Romans have attacked for farmland.

Intense Battle with Farmland at StakeSMASH CLASH is the only thing you would hear. As hard as it is, I have followed Kane throughout the entire battle. He fought off three other men and one on a horse. It was incredible. One last warrior has come towards him. A swing came firing at him, but it was blocked with a shield. Another swing by Kane was ducked under by the opponent. Swings and blocks were traded, until eventually

Kane got a piece of his leg and sent him away limping. When Kane saw this, he triumphed in victory as his

competitor limped away. He fought off another two warriors before the

Roman leader shouted, “RETREAT!” After he said that, the Celts celebrated and cheered as they

marched back to their hometown.

The most prized trophy is the head of an opponent.

Triumphant Soldiers As the soldiers marched back into their camp, they cheered victoriously. They marched right into the town bar like they usually do. Many were singing songs and basically just yelling. Suddenly two people just walked in, a man and a woman. The first thing they said was, “Is Kane here?” He was pointed to by a few others. It turned out it was his parents. For the rest of the night, they shared stories and deer.
