DAY CAMP
LIFE OPTIONSKROC ADVENTURES
Ages 5 -14 Kroc Adventures explores every venue of The Salvation Army Kroc Center Campus and offers a variety of age-appropriate recreational activities. Daily outings may include recreational field and gymnasium activities, swimming, traditional sports, arts & crafts, ice-skating, rock climbing, and skateboarding.
LIFE OPTIONSSPIRITUAL DISCOVERY CAMPS
Campers enrolled in a Spiritual Discovery Camps will spend approximately two hours each day in chapel and small group “huddle” times, examining exciting lessons from the Bible. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: ice skating, skateboarding, field games, arts & crafts, swimming, and rock climbing.NOTE: Bibles will be provided (free of charge) for any camper who enrolls in a Spiritual Discovery Camp.
THE LIFE OF CHRIST Ages 7 -14 During this Easter week of camp, participants will investigate exciting accounts from the Bible regarding the life and works of Jesus Christ. Through examining these accounts, campers will learn who Jesus is and why the Salvation Army celebrates Jesus’ life on Easter Sunday
. LIFE OPTIONSSPORTS CAMPS
Campers enrolled in Sports Camps will spend up to three hours daily focusing on skills, practice and play of a particular sport. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: field games, arts & crafts, swimming, ice skating, skateboarding, and rock climbing. INTRODUCTION TO ICE SKATING Ages 6 -14 Introduction to Ice Skating through fun and games.With two hours of supervised skating each day plus an additional 30-minute lesson, participants are taught foot glides, two-foot turns, forward crossovers, T-stops, lunges and more! Dress warmly; gloves or mittens are essential.
SKATEBOARDING Ages 8 -14 Drop into San Diego’s only indoor skateboard park for a week of skateboard instruction and practice. Learn the basics of personal safety, balance & control of the board, and maneuvering on the ramps in a relaxed and safe environment. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and experience. After demonstrating competency in basic skills, campers will receive coaching on more advanced ground tricks and ramp work. All required safety equipment is provided. Parents are welcome to join us for a skills demonstration on Friday.
LIFE OPTIONSSPECIALTY CAMPS
Campers enrolled in Specialty Camps will spend 3-5 hours per day experiencing the lessons and activities of their specialty. The remainder of the day will be spent exploring other activities at the Kroc Center, which may include: field games, swimming, ice skating, rock climbing, and library exploration.
TOP COOK Ages 8 -14 Participants open “Chez Kroc”, a mythical fine dining restaurant at the Kroc Center. Campers will spend the week working on recipes, participating in challenges and developing their own restaurant. Campers will also receive a complete kitchen safety orientation. Who will be crowned as the Kroc Center’s Top Cook? Parents can sample the masterpieces at a food-tasting event on Friday.
LIFE OPTIONSCLUBS
CLUB 3:16 One of our most popular programs. Each Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM all campers are given the opportunity to learn more about the Christian faith by partaking in exciting science projects, crafts, and/or praise and worship songs. Enrollment in this program is free of cost and is staffed in conjunction with pastors from Kroc Church.”

Day Campers enjoy making new friends as they develop skills, increase values, and learn about teamwork and leadership.
