Career Profile:

An experienced Mechanical Technician in Heavy Industry, Rotating equipment, Auxiliary Plant equipment

and Installations. A strong 'Team Player' with a hands on approach, I enjoy sharing my experiences and skills

with others to solve problems encountered on the job. I have supervisory experience working with foreign

nationals and also have experience working in hostile weather conditions, both hot and cold. Detailed below

is the last 13 years of my experience. I have also worked for many years in the Coal Industry underground,

Feb 2015 – Present: Rema Tip Top

Mechanical Supervisor: My duties involve the supervision of the installation of conveyors, frame work

roller drums, bearings, gravity tension units, skirts, ploughs conveyor belts, vulcanizing and mechanical

joints. Hot and cold repairs, drum lagging, food quality belts and special belts, high wall and chevron.

2014 – 2015: Bemo USA, Qatar

Fabrication Supervisor: Fabricating secondary fixings in a library and fabricating the fixings in the

workshop, then installing them on site. Various other contracts in Doha with Bemo.

2010 – 2014: Outotec, UAE, Abu Dhabi

Mechanical Supervisor: Emal Phase 1 and 2 Project Aluminium Plant. The installation of smelting plant

conveyor systems, hoppers, silos, crushing and compactor machinery, vertical mill, rodding mill modifying

machinary. As well as mono rail system, anode cooling system, industrial doors and shutters, compactor,

Neidler rotating equipment, pitch tank and htm. Also piping, ducting and pitch tank commissioning work and

working to tight schedules and in very hot climate conditions.

2008 – 2009: HYDRO/QATALUM.MESAIEED QATAR.

Mechanical Technician / Supervisor: The installation of a smelting and carbon plant vertical mill,rodding

mill of rotating equipment and auxiliary plants furnace, conveyor systems and mono rail. Also vertical mill,

silos, hoppers, modifying and redesigning ducting and piping, working to tight schedules, pov and

commissioning work and working in very hostile climate conditions.

2007 – 2008: Granite Technical Services, UK & Europe

Mechanical Fitter: Shut down work, maintenance and servicing gas, steam and electric turbines and

commissioning work and installing new machinery to time limits for General Electrics USA throughout the

UK and Europe.

2007: General Dynamics, Fairbanks, Alaska

Diesel Mechanic / Plant Fitter: Retro fit of various extreme cold weather kits to engines, transmissions,

electrical & comms systems etc. Implementation of full reset program, performing reconditioning of all

major components, replacement of driveline parts etc to tight schedule working 7x12hr shifts.

2006 – 2007: Granite Technical Services, UK

Mechanical Fitter: Shut down work, maintenance servicing gas, steam and electric turbines and installing

new and refurbished machinery for General Electrics USA throughout the U.K. and Europe, working to

extreme dead lines.

Mechanical Fitter: Shut down work on gas, electric and steam turbines, maintenance and servicing work,

troubleshooting and commissioning work and installing new machinery for General Electrics USA.

Mechanical Fitter: Installing, building and commissioning milling machine manufactured the year before

for Chinese Motor Industry and troubleshooting any problems that occurred.
