David Beckham is an international sensation.
Between being one of England’s best footballers,
marrying Pop Icon Victoria Beckham, and
endorsing famous brands such as Pepsi and
Armani, Beckham has become a household name
in all corners of the globe.
At the ripe age of 16, Beckham dropped out of
school to play for the Manchester United training
division. Impressing right from the start, he
broke into the first team against Brighton and
Hove Albion on September 23rd 1992, signing his
first professional contact with the side shortly
after in 1993.
Motivational Lessons:

Featuring the up and coming
talent, 1996 saw Manchester
United win the FA Premier
League, FA Cup as well as the FA
Community Shield, securing
Beckham’s place in the spotlight.
Beckham’s fame quickly turned
to infamy, however, as he gained
a reputation for his short temper
after being sent off in a crucial
fixture against Argentina in the
World Cup of 1998 for an
apparent kick to the back of
Diego Simeone’s leg.

Shortly after the 1998 World Cup
there was great controversy when
David Beckham was considered for
England’s Captaincy. Still incensed
by Beckham’s behaviour recent on
the pitch, people felt that he was
being rewarded for his actions
rather than punished. Yet it was
precisely this controversy that
fuelled Beckham to change his
attitude and, once donning the
captain’s armband, used the
opportunity to win back the trust
and respect of the English Fans.
One of the secrets
to David’s success
is his support
system. David’s
parents – Ted and
Sandra – attend
most of his
matches and his
wife – Victoria –
and four children
attended every
match.

In the same year
Manchester United won the
Champion’s League title, an
Intercontinental Cup, as well
as the English Premier
League title.
The impact was immediate. In 1999,
David Beckham was awarded player
of the year by FIFA following a win in
the FA Cup, as well as second place in
the highly coveted European Ballon
d’Or awards.

Despite leaving his first professional club Manchester United in 2003, Beckham continued to
enjoy a hugely successful international and club career through the following years, making
important appearances for Read Madrid, LA Galaxy and, finally, Paris Saint Germaine.
David is also known
for donating money
to various charities
across the world.
Before announcing his retirement in 2013, Beckham demonstrated a charitable
side rarely seen in the world of football by donating all his waged earned at Paris
Saint Germaine to the largest children’s hospital in
the French Capital.

“I don't think I'm really in a situation to complain, because I
consider myself to be privileged to be doing what I do”.
“Hindsight is a wonderful thing”.
“I'm a strong person, I'm a strong family man, I'm a strong
husband and a strong father.”
“I still look at myself and want to improve.”
“I know I've been given a talent which can't disappear just like
that. For four games I didn't perform like I can. I want to prove
that's right.”
“The secret of the team's success is easy - unity and hard
work.”
Best Quotes:

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world
they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's
an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is
temporary. Impossible is nothing."
