We have heard nothing but praise for the performances of the students. It is a big ask for them to be on stage in front of an audience but they did it professionally and thus deserve the courtesy of professionals. That is why we stopped people from entering and leaving mid acts. It was really good to see so many people stay for the entire performance as it is hard to be the last act and not have anybody in the audience. The Presentation Night is 8 th December commencing at 6pm. I do hope that you show the courtesy to all students by staying the entire night. It is not a late night and we should be finished by 7.30 pm at the latest. The Year 6 farewell is a time to celebrate the achievements of students at school. It is imperative that students behaviour is exemplary to attend this night. The last two days of term 4 are staff development days. This means that the teachers will be involved in professional learning and there will be no supervision for students. I have been completing the Situational Analysis for the National Partnership funding and I would like to thank those parents who responded to the parent surveys. This gives us a good indication of what people really think about the school and we use this to set tar- gets and address any issues. It was pleasing to see the improvement in responses from both parents and students in how we cater for the students. Although there is still room for improvement in a majority of cases 80% or more of parents responded favourably ie almost always or usually. The one area of concern is question 6. This is something we will have to work on together next year. Question 1 The school knows about the families and community in which it serves . Question 2 School leaders have a positive influence on the school culture Question 3 The school often praises and rewards individuals who are successful. Question 4 The students are the schools main concern. Question 5 Parents support what is happening at the school. The P&C fete was held on Friday 22nd October with lots of great stalls and activities

for all.

There were the usual stores of Trash ‘n’ Treasure, Plants, Novelty, Cakes and we were fortunate to have

some outside stalls of Tupperware, Envious Handbags, Mary Kay and The Learning Ladder.

We would also like to thank the NSW Fire Brigade, John Small and Russell Keen for their time in

showing people through the fire truck.

Central West Credit Union offered us their Putt Putt Golf free of charge and very kindly donated two

prizes of a Mobile phone won by Kayla Schleinzer and a digital camera won by Riley Keen.

The gum boot throwing was hotly contested for some great prize money of Infants $20, Primary $30

and Adults $50 with Ollie Harding, Lachlan Bremner and Stu McDonald being winners.

The raffle was very successful with all 34 prizes being donated and raising $2211.55.

The Art Auction was held at the end of the fete and was very exciting to watch with all paintings being

sold, which raised $1642.00 in total.

Paintings from each class raised the following amounts:

Thank you to all who helped prior to the fete; there is a small committee and each person played an

important part in ensuring the fete was successful. To those who helped make things or worked on stalls

during the day - a big THANKYOU. Without you we would not have been able to run these stalls.

Thanks to the high school students who attended to help on stalls.

Everyone’s effort helped raise $7392.53.

FRAN DOBBIE WORKSHOP

During the week of October 25th

to 29th

, Fran Dobbie visited Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo schools. Her

workshops were based on respect, confidence building, setting goals and realising your dreams.

Over 200 young people from Condobolin High School, Condobolin Primary School, St Joseph’s School,

Lake Cargelligo Central School and St Francis Xavier School were involved in the workshops. These

workshops were inspiring and encouraged the students to think about their dreams and to set goals.

We are very keen to get feedback from staff, students and parents and would like to hear from you in regard

to the outcomes from the workshops.
