Saaol is now on the verge of going digital. We are in the process of developing a pan India software where all the records of all the patients can be stored in our server and in cloud. Your photos, addresses, medical history and prescriptions will all be stored in the computer and will be available in a click from anywhere in the country/world. Our prescription will be now printed and the blue book/red book will be replaced by a file. All the centers will be now continuously connected with our Delhi head office. We are now implementing this in Delhi and this will be available across India by the end of this year. In the last month four more centers were added in the Saaol list and these are Jabalpur, Manglore, Bilaspur and Gorakhpur. Now the total number of centers stand at 70 plus. Four more Centers to be

added in the coming months are Gwalior, Aligarh, Calicut and Bhagalpur. So, we should be crossing 75 branches by the end of this year.

th On 14 August, 2018 Dr. Chhajer inaugurated our new center in the city of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. One must know that Jabalpur is geographically located in the center of our country. There was a press conference held in our center and Dr. Chhajer delivered a free public seminar in the evening which was organised by Jabalpur Agarwal Sabha. Patients from a large area of MP will now have the privilege of going locally for Saaol treatment.

rd On 23 August Dr. Bimal Chhajer was in Manglore - the western most city of Karnataka for opening of our new center. This center was opened by one of our patients Mr. Manmit Singh who took our treatment in Delhi.

According to the Allopathic system of medicine Insulin should be the last resort in the t r e a t m e n t o f D i a b e t e s . Conventionally the minimum dose of tablets are started to control Diabetes - depending on the cho ice o f the t r ea t ing Physician.Ideal ly af ter the tablets are started the blood Glucose must be checked after a few days to assure that the dosage and selection is correct. If it is not controlled the dosage can be increased or more drugs are added. Mostly in absence of lifestyle change the drug dosage keep on

increasing and ultimately the physician starts Insulin. If the patient still does not change his food habits, exercise habits the dosage of Insul in keep on changing.Insulin, used in the treatment of Diabetes can be short acting or long acting - depending on the hours it will be able to control blood glucose. Long acting Insulin is usually give once a day. Many a times both are combined in the same injection. In our opinion Insulin should be used once all the options are exhausted.

Mechanism of Action of DPP-IV inhibitor

Saaol Times, September, 2018

One of the major h a l l m a r k s o f D i a b e t e s

treatment is repeated assessment of the status of blood glucose level. The expected and the best result is fasting Glucose level of 100mg/dl and two hours after meal (Popularly known as Post Prandial or PP) Glucose level of below 140mg/dl.So, whatever be the mode of treatment one should assure that they are maintaining a very good control. It is generally believed that Diabetes is a gradually worsening condition and people would have to shift from one tablet to two and the two to four and then ultimately to Insulin. This will happen if people do not control their food, do not exercise or reduce weight, do not control their lifestyle. On the other hand if the Blood Glucose keep on reducing without any increase of medicines/insulin it can be termed as the real treatment of Diabetes. If the dose of Tablets or Insulin keeps on reducing and still the patients maintain a good level of control it can be termed as “Reversal of Diabetes”.

The effect of Lifestyle changes that we have outlined in these issues of Saaol Times should be assessed at least once on every fortnight. If they are generally under 100 and 140mg/dl the frequency of testing can be made once in a month. But if the results are way above our control levels or the patient is on Insulin - the frequency of tests can be made every two to three days or daily. The doses of drugs/Insulin can then be adjusted according to the results. The use of a Home based G l u c o m e t e r i s g e n e r a l l y recommended.Another very good and handy test for long term assessment is Serun H b A 1 c o r G l y c o s y l a t e d Hemoglobin. This gives an average blood glucose of last three months. This has now become a ve ry impor t an t t e s t i n t he monitoring of Diabetes. If the control is good HbA1c will be 6.5% or below. An okay control means HbA1c should be below 7%. Above 7% would mean we need to increase the dosage of medicines. This test should be d o n e e v e r y t h r e e months.

I am Digvijay Singh, 33 years old and I stay in Kanpur. I was having high Blood

thPressure and on 4 March,2017 suddenly developed severe chest pain spreading to both arms and jaw. It was diagnosed as a heart attack. I was admitted in the hospital. After stabilization they performed a Catheter Angiography at the Cardiology Department in the GSVM Medical college in Kanpur. This showed 60% block in my Left Main artery, 80% block in the beginning of LAD and and another 100% in the middle of the LAD. The hospital advised me to go for a Bypass Surgery. My Pumping power of the heart (LVEF) was found to be 40% in Echo Cardiogram. This meant that I had already lost one third of the heart muscles. But I was not keen to undergo Bypass Surgery and was desperately searching for an alternative. Then I found the details of Saaol from the internet. I heard many lectures of Dr. Chhajer from You Tube and then contacted the head office in Delhi Chattarpur. Then I with my wife and child went to Delhi and consulted Dr. Bimal Chhajer. He assured me that I will improve and I decided to join him. I immediately shifted to Zero oil cooking, joined his one day camp and also underwent 35 sittings of

ECP/Natural Bypass and 20 sittings of BCA(EDTA therapy). As I felt better I started Yoga and 35 minutes of walking. By the time I come back to Kanpur I was almost normal and resumed my duty.

ndOn 2 February, 2018 I went for a repeat Angiogram at the Focus Imaging in Delhi and my results were more than my expectations. My LM blockage was 50%, LAD 100% also became 70%, 80% became 60%. My Lipids also became just below the range recommended by Saaol.Encouraged by the results I also took further dose of Cardio Clean powder imported from USA for two more months.

thOn 18 August,2018 I again went for a Echo cardiogram in Kanpur in Budhwar Heart Center. I was pleasantly surprised to find my LVEF at 64%. I was having 40% and 45% pumping (LVEF) after my heart attack. This means my heart damage has also been recovered. Now, I am back to my normal life. But I follow Saaol very strictly. All my food, vegetables are zero oil, I walk daily for 30 minutes and perform Yoga for 20 minutes. I keep on spreading the word about Saaol. I am greatly obliged to Dr. Bimal Chhajer for getting be back to normal without Bypass Surgery and showing the right path. I thank him from the depth of my heart.

Saaol Times, September, 2018 Saaol Times, September, 2018 7

So far in our previous issues of Saaol Times we have discussed about Diabetes in great details, the role of Insulin, lifestyle factors in causing the disease and the role of Diet in the treatment of Diabetes and losing weight. This disease is a global epidemic and we hope the knowledge we shared with our r e a d e r s w i l l h e l p t h e m t o

understand the disease and lifestyle way of treating the disease. We now discuss the rest of the ten steps to Reverse Diabetes namely- Yoga,Stress Management,Walking ,Herbs and the role of monitoring Diabetes accurately. We then discuss the allopathic treatment of Diabetes along with the herbal substitutes.

We would recommend our readers to read Dr. Chhajer's book on Stress Management, listen to his talks on

Stress Management in You tube for a c lear gu idance on S t ress management.

Thirty minutes of walk daily on regular basis is a must for reversing Diabetes. The most important advantage of walking is increased utilization of Glucose in the leg muscles. The second advantage is reduction of weight, third is reduction of Insulin resistance and

the fourth is stress management. The speed of the walk should be brisk (except for heart patients). Swimming, badminton, table tennis, sqash and any kind of similar exercise can also help similarly in Diabetes reversal.

There are lot of herbs which may be beneficial for the diabetic patient. Most of them are also b e i n g u s e d a s Ay u r v e d i c preparations to treat Diabetes. Most of them do not have any side effects and can be taken without

any difficulty and also they do not lower the sugar. Unlike allopathy medicines they don't lead to hypoglycaemia( undue reduction of blood sugar). Some of the useful herbs,Ayurvedic medicines good for diabetes are listed below :-

T h e m o d e r n m e d i c a l science/Allopathy system has, in the last few years, carried out extensive research to develop so many types of medicines for reducing blood sugar. These medicines work in different organs - intestines, pancreas, kidneys, liver, muscles to control the blood sugar level. Many more are

being invented every year. But the only problem with them is that they do not cure and have to be taken on daily basis to control the blood sugar. Many of them have side effects also. We have put all these common Allopathic medicines with their mechanism of action, trade names for your reference.

Yoga - the finest art of living can help in the control of Diabetes greatly. We recommend about 15 minutes of selected Asanas, five minutes of Pranayama and 10 minutes of Meditation for Diabetes. Most of the Asanas that have been proven good for Diabetes lead to a massage of the pancreas - the organ which produce Insulin that lowers

blood sugar. The Pancreas is just in front of the spine in the abdomen and it is very difficult to squeeze or massage this organ other than Yogic Asanas. Repeated squeezing increases the blood supply of P a n c r e a s a n d r e l e a s e o f manufactured Insulin in the blood stream.

Psychological stress releases huge amount of Glucose that are stored in the Liver and increases blood level of Glucose. Stress also works on our immune system and lead to Insulin Resistance. Stress also decreases our mind's resolve to follow proper diet, exercise, yoga for treating Diabetes. Under stress people fail to adhere to low sugar and low fat diet. So, stress management plays a major role in the control of Diabetes. Meditation, walking, yogasanas help to reduce stress.

But stress management is much wider when Saaol steps in. Saaol believes our understanding of stress, how it is produced, how to a n a l y s e s t r e s s p r o d u c t i o n , balancing the sectors of life, avoiding overloads of life are also very important in true stress management . Changing our attitude towards life, changing stressful behaviour, talking without insult are also some of the ways of stress management. Following “Saaol way of Spirituality” is also very important in changing life.
