Project Details

• This project is part of the ConocoPhillips CORE Plant Expansion.

• Construction of two buildings totaling approximately 60,000 sq ft of floor space. One building is new office space for additional personnel, the other building is a new central control facility for plant operations and production.

• The goal for ConocoPhillips on this program is to move personnel outside of the refinerie’s blast zone and into a safer environment.

• Some of the projects unique features include special blast requirements to be built into the building enclosure, windows, and exterior doors for employee safety.

• MCI’s Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) is tailored specifically for the project requirements and utilizes our building enlosure program to perform compatibility/constructability reviews. This includes building actual mockups of wall sections with windows and perform tests to verify integrity of design. Once mockups are approved and installation starts, our Installation Surveillance Program takes over to verify what was approved and tested is what is being built.
