The new DPF cleaning system BA 5000 by Baumot Complete regeneration of a diesel particulate filter consists of oxidation/ burning of trapped soot and removal of ash residue. Complete ash re- moval is a vital component for ensuring continued high performance of the filter following regeneration. The cleaned filter can then be reinstalled in the exhaust system and once more perform its environmentally friendly function. The new filter cleaning system by Baumot - BA5000 – ensures straight- forward operation, cleaning quality and reliability. Structure The filter seat, compressed air unit, viewing window and suction apparatus are all integrated in a mobile case. The layout of the device is based on the design of Baumot filters. However, almost all filters produced by other manufacturers can be cleaned. Function Once the device has been opened, the filter to be cleaned is fixed to a rota- ry disk. The pneumatic system is connected and locked. When the start button is pressed, the filter underneath the radially operating compressed air nozzle begins to turn, automatically working through one channel after another. Dislodged ash is caught with the suction device and can then be disposed of in accordance with the regulations. Detailed operating and procedural instructions included with the device enable effective, eco- nomical and reliable use of the system. Baumot service partners as well as owners of vehicle fleets can use the device and, in conjunction with a Baumot furnace, carry out complete and reliable servicing of their own diesel particulate filters as well as those of their customers This is a cost-effective solution, as the initial purchase costs for the device are soon recovered. The resulting flexibility in filter maintenance is not to be underestimated. Users at the grass roots will soon grow to appreciate this significant advantage.
