Data Profile Test Plan

Objective

• As a QA Engineer, I should be able to ensure that the data in a specific entity (table) adheres to a set of rules that I defined

• The following slides explain how a data entity model can be designed in ETL Validator so that the aforementioned use cases can be reused over time

Upon Login, system displays the Home Page

Click on the Menu

Select the Data Rules Test Plan

•Choose the connection

•Data Entities defined in the Data Model will show up here

•Expand the entity to see the attributes

Select an attribute and define rules..easy!

•Click on Run

•Results will be displayed here. User can focus only on failed ones (data did not adhere to the rules)
