Mission
• At a school ceremony, students fill out address cards.
• The students email address is the mostimportant piece of information.
• Must be thorough using the address cards as well as any verifying sources available.
Enter all Student Information into GTS as quickly, but accurately, as possible.
Data Entry Employee Schedule
• A season calendar with approximate times work is available will be posted on blog as well as emailed to each offsite associate.
• Evenings and weekends are typically busiest along with holidays, Mothers and Fathers Day in the Spring.
Off-Site Work - Setup
• Setting up your Computer
– GTS program will not work with MAC platform
– You should have installed Microsoft .Net Framework
– You should have installed GTS DE
(The information will be on the blog under ‘Links and downloads’)
• Make sure you keep up with the work calendar as it is subject to change. (The information will be on the blog under Data Entry
calendar)
• Don’t forget to provide a screen name. It is the quickest way to contact the office but you can always email also.
Logging Into the System• Click on GTS DE• Type in your email• Type in your password
This is your initials and the last 4 of your social security number.
Example: John Smith Password: JS####

The office will alert everyone online when
cards are ready via instant message.

These are existing customers. The system will auto populate the entry area with the students address if found.
Save & Next will get you to the next

• The information portion of the screen lets you see the progress of the school being typed.
• IMPORTANT!!!!
Be sure to constantly check the notes portion. It may be updated with vital information regarding your next card.

• Toggles for cards (F1)
– Ctrl & R = Rotate Right
– Ctrl & L = Rotate Left
– Ctrl & T = Flip
– Ctrl & + = Zooms In
– Ctrl & - = Zooms Out
– Ctrl & N = Save and Next
Actual Address Entry#1 Basic Card Information
• Type in ALL CAPS
• You will start by entering the salutation and then typing the students first and last name. You will tab between fields
• Do not use Punctuation i.e. P.O. Box = PO Box; 171st ST= 171 ST

Email:
If student is an
existing customer
Email will auto-
populate. If students
email address is only
on card: check ‘On
Card?’ box and type
in email address. If
there are multiple
addresses enter them
all tabbing after each
entry. The system
now performs an
email validation
check for typing or
domain errors. You
will not be allowed to
continue if the system
finds a format error.
Correct the error (i.e.
.om (type .com))

If student is an
existing customer the
address will auto-
populate. If the
address on the
students card is the
same click ‘validate’
then save & next. If
the address on the
card is different add
the address making
sure to click the ‘On
Card?’ box. If the
address is a foreign
address make sure
the country is listed.
You must validate
every address line –
even if you only have
an email address.

#3) Addresses, con’tIn this new system:
• If the address is valid
the entire address line
will turn GREEN and
add the +4. You will
click Save & Next.
• If the format of the
address is good but
‘StrikeIron’ couldn’t find
the address, the
address line will turn
YELLOW. You can run
the address through
USPS and see if you
can fix. If not, click
validate then save &
next.
•If the address line turns
PINK you have typed
something in the wrong
field and the system will
not let you continue. Fix
the address if you can –
if not delete the
information and then
validate. If this has left a
blank row you must
delete that row before
you save & next.
Actual Address Entry
This screen does not necessarily mean that there will not be any
more cards to type. You will just need to wait for them to be loaded.
Continue to click “Try Again”
Once all of the current cards have been typed you will see
this message.
You will be sent an Instant
Message when there are no
more cards and you can log out.
