Ireland is forging ahead on expansionof its apprenticeship system to meet
21st century skills needs and tosupport dynamic growth of our
economy and society.
apprenticeship programmes are currentlyavailable, spanning the engineering,construction, motor, electrical, finance,hospitality, and ICT industry sectors.36
In 2017 over 4,900 employers have used apprenticeship to helpsupport and grow their businesses, with over 12,000 apprenticescurrently completing their training.

In 2017 alone, OVER 4,700 apprentices
will have registered and started their training, this
includes 400 apprentices on new
programmes in the finance, hospitality and
engineering sectors.
