Join-‐Up
Sorpresa – Significant Intersections
Sorpresa – What is it?
Variably East dipping, gently folded, variably plunging mineralized plane;
Comprised of quartz / sericite / muscovite / carbonate / pyrite altered, crackle brecciated and carbonate-‐sulphide-‐gold cemented, quartz veined meta-‐siltstone.
Sulphide mineralisaIon hosIng gold and silver comprise:
Pyrite = arsenopyrite > sphalerite > galena >> tennan>te – tetrahedrite > chalcopyrite and na>ve gold.
MineralisaIon is best developed below a rhyolite to rhyo-‐dacite porphyriIc sill complex, itself gently folded, and strongly altered.
Healed Listric / thrust fault zone.
Fi 328 DDH 90m to 91m -‐ 1m @ 22.7g/t Au, 312g/t Ag
Sorpresa – What is it?
NaIve Gold formed as ~2 – 50um grains, moderately high fineness (i.e. Au > Ag)
Most Gold occurs as inclusions in Sphalerite with some in Pyrite and Galena.
Silver occurs in Galena and TennanIte – Tedrahedrite.
Later deformaIon remobilised some base-‐metals and naIve gold.
MineralisaIon has a low temperature of formaIon indicaIng an Epithermal Seqng.
Carbonate Base Metal Epithermal Au/Ag,
Possibly related to Siluro-‐Devonian Volcanism… (Mineral Hill / Mt Boppy)
PotenIally hosted in Cambro-‐Ordovician metasediments + mafic volcanics and ultramafic intrusives, themselves potenIal hosts to:
Tridon / Besshi style VMS mineralisaIon.

Two target styles: 1. Outcropping quartz-‐pyrite-‐arsenopyrite stockwork veined shear zones.
Structurally controlled, sediment hosted, orogenic gold target (e.g. Fosterville gold mine, Victoria & Tomingly Gold Mine, NSW).
2. Diffuse bulls-‐eye magneIc high anomaly with peripheral QMH alteraIon, pyriIsaIon & trace naIve Cu – a conceptual ‘Besshi’ style VHMS Cu-‐Au target (e.g. Tridon, NSW).
23.0g/t Au, 13.75g/t Au, 13.7g/t Au, 12.55g/t Au, 9.06g/t Au, 7.55g/t Au, 7.29g/t Au, 7.02g/t Au
Up to 0.16% Cu and out-‐cropping na>ve Cu. Soil sampling completed, results awaited.
