Dan has been hunting for six years. Sadly, he has not

trapped a deer yet. If Dan doesn't trap a deer he

will be upset.

Dan is mostly upset because his younger brothers Joey and Brett

are better hunters. Joey and Brett are really good hunters, and they

like hunting squirrels, rabbits, pheasants and deer.

Also Brett’s girlfriend, Danyelle, is a better hunter than Dan. Dan is

determined to show everyone that he can trap a deer.

As Dan walks into the forest, he thinks of all the things he can do to

trap a deer. Dan decides to put a trap in front of a tree where he had

placed some deer food for bait.

In the woods, Dan sits as quiet as a breeze. Dan is picturing the deer in his trap and everyone is happy for

him.

Suddenly, Dan spots a deer by the trap. The deer pawed restlessly at

the ground, a beast eagerly waiting for a chance to eat the food.

SNAP! The gate comes down and the deer is trapped inside the large

wired cage. Dan is full of excitement and jumps from his

tree stand.

Magically, the deer remains calm and Dan decides to ride the deer

like a horse. Dan arrives home riding the deer and everyone is

surprised.

They all walk up to Dan and tell him “good job” for trapping the

deer. Dan feels sorry for the deer, and he becomes best friends with

the deer.
