WelcomeIt is a great pleasure to welcome you to the 10th International Lymphoedema Framework Conference, ILF and the annual meeting of Danish Wound Healing Society (DWHS) 2020, to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, 1 – 3 October 2020.

ILF and DWHS will organise the conference in collaboration. Further, the conference will be co-hosted by the Danish Lymphoedema Framework (DNL/DLF), the Danish member of the ILF.

The conference is aiming to bring the international lymphoedema community as well as the Danish wound healing community together while offering interactive methods of conferencing. A strong focus will be placed on the national frameworks to highlight ILF’s collaborative work on international research projects and studies.

The 2020 ILF / DWHS conference will bring together clinicians, researchers, industry providers, healthcare providers, advocacy groups and patients, with the goal of sharing knowledge and furthering lymphology for the benefit of all those affected by lymphoedema and related disorders.

Your support and participation are vital to the success of our conference. We believe your pre-sence and partnership will provide you with rewarding business opportunities as approximately 500 delegates are expected from over 30 countries. Specifically, this conference will be targeted to nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, medical doctors, researchers, lymphoedema therapists, patient advocates, patients and policy makers.

Patients remain at the heart of everything we do, and the patient day will give additional oppor-tunities for sponsors and exhibitors to engage with patient/partner and carer delegates.

By supporting this conference, you are sending delegates the message that you share the ILF’s vision of changing the face of lymphoedema care around the world and the vision of the Danish Wound Healing Society.

We look forward to welcoming you in Copenhagen!

On behalf of the ILF, DWHS and DNL/DLF Organising and Scientific Committees,

About the societiesThe International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF) was established as a UK charity in 2009. The framework developed from a project aiming at bringing together the main stakeholders involved in the management of lymphoedema in the United Kingdom in 2002, but ILF rapidly spread to be-come an international project with an objective to support individual countries develop a long-term strategy for lymphoedema management. The ILF includes 15 national frameworks around the world, all working to improve the management of lymphoedema and related disorders worldwide

ILF believe that:

• Patients should always be at the heart of the Framework Projects

• Only a collaborative and multidisciplinary partnership between all stakeholders, recognized asexperts, can lead to an improvement in the management of lymphedema

• Improving the management of lymphedema is a dynamic process requiring ongoing researchand implementation into practice

• International collaboration is essential

The Danish Wound Healing Society (DWHS) was established in 1992 as the first wound care society in Scandinavia. It has about 1,000 members, mainly nurses, doctors and therapists in health care. DNL/DLF is recognized as a professional interdisciplinary network of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other therapists as well as patients and industry partners. DNL/DLF works across personal and professional interests to raise awareness and spread knowledge about lymphoedema and for cost free treatment of lymphoedema in Denmark. The DNL/DLF steering committee integrates representatives of the Danish Knowledge Centre for Lymphoedema (Bispebjerg Hospital, Copenhagen) as well as the Danish Society for Physiotherapeutic Treatment of Lymphoedema and the patient association Danish Lymphoedema Association (DALYFO).

Other partnership opportunityFOCUS GROUP MEETING. € 10,000

Focus groups give companies a chance to ask experts and key opinion leaders their opinion in a closed forum and are interesting for companies, who:

• Are about to launch a new product• Are new to a market and need feedback on their existing products• Would like to establish contact to key opinion leaders• Are interested in feedback on products or clinical studies

A focus group at ILF2020 has the advantage that you do not need to fly in and accommodate a group of 8-10 persons, as all key opinion leaders are present at the conference in advance. This makes the focus group a cost-effective tool to get feedback and promote your product towards key opinion leaders.

The focus group meeting will last up to 1,5 hour and will be arranged in co-operation with the conference secretariat.

Symposia and focus groups are subject to approval by the scientific committee.

INDUSTRY PARTNERS

The vision of the International Lymphoedema Framework (ILF) is to bring the lymphoedema community (patients, practitioners, researchers, industry, public and private healthcare groups, government agencies and others) together to work towards improved management of lymphoedema and related disorders. We consider

industry partners an important part of advancing our knowledge, exploring what is needed to improve lymphoedema management and gaining better outcomes for all.

We are grateful to the following ILF Industry partners who make the work of the ILF possible throughout the year.
