artist statement

I use photography as an escape from reality, a break from my responsibilities, but most im-portantly as a mean of self-expression. I make pictures for myself, and during the process I’ve found and explore hidden aspects of my character. Through photography I’ve learned to tell stories, to convey my thoughts and to show my view of the world.

For the past few months I have experienced several tragic events that have changed me radically and the way a see death and life. I lost three extraordinary friends in three very unexpected ways that made me realize that our moment can come any time and we can’t avoid it. We just have to live our life to the full-est and enjoy every second of it.

Live like we are dying is a series of photo-graphs in which I try to show those little mo-ments in life that makes us smile and happy and sometimes we don’t realize how beautiful they are. No matter how small this moments are I learned that those little moments I had with each of them are the best memories I carry with me.
