Daniel CraneSporting & Equestrian Artist

Daniel Crane is one of the country’s leading sporting artists who has gained areputation as his generation’s Lionel Edwards. Born in Norfolk in 1969, Daniel isthe youngest son of a farming family, who has been surrounded by animals andthe countryside from a young age. His love and respect for his chosen subjectare evident in his work. The development of his style has moved away from thecartoon and caricature works that were the signature of his early career to highlyfinished oils and watercolours that capture the atmosphere and power of hischosen subject. His formal studies at the Lincoln College of Art and Design havebeen supplemented by time in the field, constantly observing and documentingthe relationship between man, horse and the countryside.

This catalogue serves as a visual appetizer to accompany the exhibition that wewill be holding in the Chelsea Gallery in June. There will be approximately twentyfive recent paintings and watercolours ranging in price from £1,500 - £25,000.All pictures are for sale and available for purchase from receipt of this brochure. We hope that you will find the opportunity of visiting the gallery or viewing theillustrations of the exhibition on our website. www.jamesharveybritishart.com.
