I have been passionate about film and animaon for several years now and I am constantly seeking to learn more and become the best I possibly can be. I am fluent in maya different creave suites including Adobe and Autodesk. I have some experience in other 3D soſtware but I am most at home in Maya. I am just as natural being a leader as I am in a group environment and I work best when the leſt hand knows what the right is doing. And lastly I pride myself as a hard worker and I am always trying to learn new things and improve myself and my work because at the end of the day I want to be proud of the things I create. EDUCATION Technical skills Samuel Robertson Tech 2006-2008 VanArts Summer Art program Simon Fraser University 2008-present Media Arts Rookie Intermediate Experienced Expert Maya 2012 Matchmover Composite 3DS Max Photoshop Illustrator After Effects Premiere Pro VanArts 2007-2008 Two years in high school I attended the young digital artists program at VanArts institute learning various methods and fields relating to 3D art going from concept art to rendering and animation. I was noted as one of the best in the class at the time and one of my models was used in future demos of previous year`s works. Greenfoot Boards 2010 I did some commission work for a fellow class-mate and friend`s skate board company for use in an upcoming ad campaign. The project was to produce a green Sasquatch foot using Maya for use superimposing into ad images featuring the product. This was my first introduction to organic modeling. Simon Fraser University 2012 In pursuing my media art studies at SFU I have taken a leadership role in several animation projects as lead art director and lead modeler for my teams. I`ve developed a talent for hard surface modeling of such things as spaceships, weapons, or vehicles and continue to increase my workflow to produce higher quality products faster. Several projects have been completed and several more are in production. Continuing from this point my short term plans are to join with a group of other motivated film students and begin producing higher budgeted films free of the time restraints of a 10 week school project in which to explore my art and gain a better understanding of other 3D concepts which I have necessarily neglected to perform my role as a modeler. During this process I`ve also had much design experience (both graphic and architectural) and I have become more proficient in film and non-linear editing software such as premiere, aftereffects or final cut pro.
