About meHi, my name is Daniel Broomeand I am a student of mediaat Simon Fraser University.
I have been passionate aboutfilm and animation for severalyears now and I am constantlyseeking to learn more and become the best I possiblycan be.
I am fluent in maya differentcreative suites includingAdobe and Autodesk. I havesome experience in other 3Dsoftware but I am most at home in Maya.
I am just as natural being a leader as I am in a groupenvironment and I work bestwhen the left hand knows what the right is doing.

Two years in high school I attended the young digital artists program at VanArts institutelearning various methods and fields relating to 3D art going from concept art to renderingand animation. I was noted as one of the best in the class at the time and one of my modelswas used in future demos of previous year`s works.
Greenfoot Boards 2010
I did some commission work for a fellow class-mate and friend`s skate board company for use in an upcoming ad campaign. The project was to produce a green Sasquatch foot using Maya for use superimposing into ad images featuring the product. This was my first introduction to organic modeling.
Simon Fraser University 2012
In pursuing my media art studies at SFU I have taken a leadership role in several animationprojects as lead art director and lead modeler for my teams. I `ve developed a talent for hardsurface modeling of such things as spaceships, weapons, or vehicles and continue to increasemy workflow to produce higher quality products faster. Several projects have been completedand several more are in production. Continuing from this point my short term plans are to joinwith a group of other motivated film students and begin producing higher budgeted films freeof the time restraints of a 10 week school project in which to explore my art and gain a betterunderstanding of other 3D concepts which I have necessarily neglected to perform my roleas a modeler. During this process I`ve also had much design experience (both graphic andarchitectural) and I have become more proficient in film and non-linear editing software suchas premiere, aftereffects or final cut pro. I am constantly posting project updates on my website and often do commission art of ships to my followers both as practice and appreciation.
