Daniel 7:1-12 is a chronological description of what Daniel was first shown in

his dream, paralleling the Daniel 2 image dream, providing additional details.

Expanded on in Dan 8:1-25 (551BC) and Dan 11:2-45 (535BC).

Dan 7:13 steps back, providing additional details to Dan 7:9-10; the beginning

of the investigative judgment (1844) in the most holy place in Heaven.

Dan 7:14, provides additional details about the end of judgment, expanded on

in Dan 12:1a (20xx).

Dan 7:15-27 records the interpretation given to Daniel, with clarifying details

of the first part of his dream recorded in Dan 7:2-14.

Dan 7:1 “In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon

Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his

bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the

matters.”

King Nabonidus (556-539BC) placed his son, Belshazzar, king over the city

of Babylon in 553BC, 50 years after Nebuchadnezzar’s image dream (Dan 2). Num 12:6 “…Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him

in a dream.”

Amo 3:7 “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret

unto his servants the prophets.”

Dan 7:2 “Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by

night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven

strove upon the great sea.”

Daniel not only wrote the dream, he shared it verbally.

Rev 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow

on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.”

Num 34:6-7 “And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea

for a border: this shall be your west border. And this shall be your north border:

from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor:”

Rev 17:15 “And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the

whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”

10/1/2020 6

Dan 7:3 “And four great beasts came up from the sea,

diverse one from another.”

Four political kingdoms would arise from existing nations and people groups

around the Mediterranean Sea, Babylon, Medo/Persia, Greece, and Rome.

Based on characteristics later in Daniel 7, the word “beasts” is associated with the persecution of God’s chosen people by these political kingdoms.

Following Imperial Rome, the next earthly empire is foretold in Rev 13:1-10.

Rev 13:1 “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of

the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and

upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”

“Blasphemy” is speaking against or taking the prerogatives of God, typically by a religious power.

10/1/2020 7

Dan 7:4a “The first was like a lion, and had eagle's

wings” Babylon (609-539BC)

Deu 28:49-50 “The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt

not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the

person of the old, nor shew favour to the young” (Dan 2:37-38; 2Ki 24:10-14; 25:1-7)

Jer 49:22 “Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings

over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as

the heart of a woman in her pangs.”

Hab 1:8 “Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their

horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.”

10/1/2020 8

Dan 7:4b “I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand

upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given

to it.” After Nebuchadnezzar died expansion of the empire ceased; Babylon’s wickedness increased with Belshazzar using the holy temple goblets to entertain

(Dan 5:1-4).

Babylon lost its nobility (Dan 4).

Jer 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked:

who can know it?”

10/1/2020 9

Dan 7:5a “And behold another beast, a second, like to a

bear, and it raised up itself on one side,” Medo-Persia (539-331BC) (Dan 2:39; 8:3-4; 11:2)

Isa 13:17-19 “Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not

regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it. Their bows also shall

dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the

womb; their eye shall not spare children. And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms,

the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom

and Gomorrah.”

Isa 21:2 “A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth

treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all

the sighing thereof have I made to cease.”

Later, Persia was the dominant power over Media.

10/1/2020 10

Dan 7:5b “and it had three ribs in the mouth of it

between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it,

Arise, devour much flesh.” Medo-Persia conquered Lydia in 547BC.1

Medo-Persia conquered Babylon in 539BC.2

Isa 45:1-2 “Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to

subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved

gates; and the gates shall not be shut; I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I

will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron”

Medo-Persia conquered Egypt at the Battle of Pelusium in 535BC.3

Rev 7:1 “And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners

of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth…” 1https://www.livius.org/articles/misc/the-end-of- lydia-547/ 2https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fall_of_Babylon 3https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Pelusium_%28525_BC%29

Isa 21:8-9 “And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the

watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights: And,

behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he

answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of

her gods he hath broken unto the ground.”

Jer 4:13 “Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are

spoiled.”

{GC 439.3} “Winds are a symbol of strife. The four winds of heaven striving upon the great sea represent the terrible scenes of conquest and revolution by

which kingdoms have attained to power.”

Dan 7:6a “After this I beheld, and lo another, like a

leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of

a fowl” Greece (331-168BC) (Dan 2:39b; 8:5-8, 20-22; 11:3)

Alexander the Great reigned 336-323BC, dying at 32 years old1 becoming

“Lord of Asia” following the Battle of Gaugamela Oct 1, 331BC.2

Deu 28:49 “The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth…”

Hab 1:8 “Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, … they shall fly as

the eagle that hasteth to eat.”

Alexander the Great Four Generals

10/1/2020 15

Dan 7:6b “the beast had also four heads; and dominion

was given to it.” The “body” of the leopard beast, representing Alexander the Great, became

inactive at his death and was followed by the Wars of the Diadochi.1

The decisive Battle of Ipsus2 in 301BC determined that Greece would be split,

initially between four generals: Ptolomy (Egypt), Seleucus I (Syria),

Lysimachus (Thrace, defeated in 281BC), and Cassander (Macedonia),

represented by the four heads. (Dan 11:4-19)

Dan 7:7a “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and

strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it

devoured and brake in pieces” Pagan/Imperial Rome (168BC-AD476) (Dan 7:19; 8:9,23a; 11:20-22)

Dan 2:33 “His legs of iron…”

Dan 2:40 “And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron

breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all

these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.”

10/1/2020 17

Dan 7:7b “and stamped the residue with the feet of it:

and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before

it; and it had ten horns.” Rev 2:10 “…behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison…”

Emperor worship was a Roman cult established during the reign of

Augustus”1,2

“Ten” is symbolic representing the dozens of tribes and kingdoms following

the end of the Roman Empire. (Rev 8:7-13)

Horns are symbolic of power according to Exo 38:2; Lev 4:25; Num 14:22;

2Sa 22:3; Psa 18:2; 75:10; 89:24; 92:10; 112:9; 148:14; Eze 29:21; Hab 3:4;

{Lt6-1886.10} “Every position of truth taken by our people will bear the criticism of the greatest minds; the highest of the world’s great men will be brought in contact with truth, and therefore every position we take should be critically

examined and tested by the Scriptures. Now we seem to be unnoticed, but

this will not always be. Movements are at work to bring us to the front; and if

our theories of truth can be picked to pieces by historians or the world’s greatest men, it will be done.”

Dan 8:9 “And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed

exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant

land.”

Dan 8:23 “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are

come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark

sentences, shall stand up.”

Dan 7:8c “and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the

eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” Dan 11:24 “He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers'

fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he

shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.”

Dan 11:45 “And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain…”

Rev 13:5-6 “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and

blasphemies…And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to

blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it

was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and

power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

{GC 442.1} “The “speaking” of the nation is the action of its legislative and judicial authorities.”

Dan 7:9 “I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and

the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white

as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool:

his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as

burning fire.” Psa 9:7 “But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for

judgment.”

Dan 2:34 “Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands…”

Dan 2:44 “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a

kingdom…”

Rev 11:1 “…the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God…”

Rev 14:7 “…the hour of his judgment is come…” (atonement: 10/22/1844)

{GC 479.2} “The Ancient of Days is God the Father. Says the psalmist:

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth

and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.” Psalm 90:2. It is He, the source of all being, and the fountain of all law, that is to

preside in the judgment. And holy angels as ministers and witnesses, in number

“ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands,” attend this great tribunal.”

24 10/1/2020

10/1/2020 25

Dan 7:10 “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him,

and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before

him: the judgment was set, and the books were

opened.” (expanded in Dan 7:25-26)

Act 10:42 “And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.”

Rev 11:1 “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that

worship therein.”

Rev 14:7 “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is

come...”

{GC 479.2} “Thus was presented to the prophet’s vision the great and solemn day when the characters and the lives of men should pass in review before the

Judge of all the earth, and to every man should be rendered “according to his works.”

Dan 8:14 “And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred

days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.”

Mal 3:1 “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,

even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall

come, saith the LORD of hosts.”

(see the ten virgins, Mat 25:1-13, the talents, Mat 25:14-30, the Nobleman,

Luk 19:11-27)

{GC 480.1} “In the typical service only those who had come before God with confession and repentance, and whose sins, through the blood of the sin

offering, were transferred to the sanctuary, had a part in the service of the Day

of Atonement. So in the great day of final atonement and investigative

judgment the only cases considered are those of the professed people of

God. The judgment of the wicked is a distinct and separate work, and

takes place at a later period. “Judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel?” 1 Peter 4:17.”

28 10/1/2020

10/1/2020 29

A specific event triggers the initiation of judgment from the dead to the living:

{Lt11-1890.10} “The Lord has shown me clearly that the image of the beast will

be formed before probation closes; for it is to be the great test for the people

of God, by which their eternal destiny will be decided.”

Eze 9:6 “Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my

sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the

house.”

Mal 3:1 “…the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple…”

Mal 3:5 “And I will come near to you to judgment…”

10/1/2020 30

Psa 9:7-8 “But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne

for judgment. And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall

minister judgment to the people in uprightness.” (see Psa 101:2-7)

1Pe 4:17 “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of

God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not

the gospel of God?”

Rev 11:1 “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that

worship therein.”

10/1/2020 31

{1T 100.1} “Every honest soul that may be deceived by these disaffected ones, will have the true light in regard to them, if every angel from heaven has to

visit them, to enlighten their minds. We have nothing to fear in this matter. As

we near the judgment, all will manifest their true character, and it will be

made plain to what company they belong. The sieve is moving. Let us not

say: Stay Thy hand, O God. The church must be purged, and it will be. God

reigns; let the people praise Him. I have not the most distant thought of sinking

down. I mean to be right and do right. The judgment is to set, the books are

to be opened, and we are to be judged according to our deeds. All the

falsehoods that may be framed against me will not make me any worse, nor

any better unless they have a tendency to drive me nearer my Redeemer.”

32 10/1/2020

{Ms17-1906.24} “There is an unerring register kept of all sins committed. All man’s impiety, all his disobedience to heaven’s commands, are written in the books of heaven with unerring accuracy. The figures of guilt rapidly

accumulate, yet the judgments of God are tempered with mercy, until the

figures have reached their appointed limit. God bears long with the

transgression of human beings and continues through His appointed agencies

to present the gospel message until the set time has come. God bears with

divine patience with the perversity of the wicked; but He declares that He will

visit their transgressions with a rob. He will at last permit the destructive

agencies of Satan to bear sway to destroy.”

33 10/1/2020

{Ms105-1901.15} “Accurately recorded in the books of heaven are the sneers and trivial remarks made by sinners who pay no heed to the call of mercy when

Christ is represented to them by a servant of God. As the artist takes on the

polished glass a true picture of the human face, so God daily places upon the

books of heaven an exact representation of the character of every individual.”

34 10/1/2020

{EW 55.1-56.1} “I saw the Father rise from the throne, and in a flaming chariot go

into the holy of holies within the veil, and sit down. Then Jesus rose up from

the throne, and the most of those who were bowed down arose with Him. I did

not see one ray of light pass from Jesus to the careless multitude after He arose,

and they were left in perfect darkness…. I turned to look at the company who were still bowed before the throne; they did not know that Jesus had left it.

Satan appeared to be by the throne, trying to carry on the work of God. I saw

them look up to the throne, and pray, “Father, give us Thy Spirit.” Satan would then breathe upon them an unholy influence; in it there was light and much

power, but no sweet love, joy, and peace. Satan’s object was to keep them deceived and to draw back and deceive God’s children.”

35 10/1/2020

{RH May 7, 1901, Art. A, par. 11} “When the judgment shall sit, and every one shall be judged by the things written in the books, the authority of God’s law will be looked upon in a light altogether different from that in which it is now regarded

by the Christian world. Satan has blinded their eyes and confused their

understanding, as he blinded and confused Adam and Eve, and led them into

transgression. The law of Jehovah is great, even as its Author is great. In the

Judgment it will be recognized as holy, just, and good in all its requirements.

Those who transgress this law will find that they have a serious account to

settle with God; for His claims are decisive.”

36 10/1/2020

{RH August 11, 1891, par. 1} “I wish I could impress on every mind the grievous sinfulness of wasting the Lord’s money on fancied wants. The expenditure of sums that look small, may start a train of circumstances that will reach into eternity. When the Judgment shall sit, and the books are opened, the losing side will be presented to your view—the good that you might have done with the accumulated mites and the larger sums that were used for wholly selfish purposes. And what will it reveal?—Just that deficiency in the bank of heaven,—robbery toward God, some destitute bodies not clothed, some poor souls praying for light and knowledge robbed of the bread of life. Your money went to gratify perverted appetite, or to indulge vanity. O, what shame and grief will come to your souls as you see how much you have lost! Look about you, and see if there is not a work which the Lord has given you. The Isaiah 58:1 presents before you a work that has been neglected.”

37 10/1/2020

{4T 481.2} “We must all be rich in good works in this life if we would secure the future, immortal life. When the judgment shall sit and the books shall be

opened, every man will be rewarded according to his works. Many names are

enrolled on the church book that have robbery recorded against them in the

Ledger of Heaven. And unless these repent and work for the Master with

disinterested benevolence, they will certainly share in the doom of the

unfaithful steward.”

38 10/1/2020

{GC 488.2} “Those who would share the benefits of the Saviour’s mediation should

permit nothing to interfere with their duty to perfect holiness in the fear of God.

The precious hours, instead of being given to pleasure, to display, or to gain

seeking, should be devoted to an earnest, prayerful study of the word of truth. The

subject of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment should be clearly

understood by the people of God. All need a knowledge for themselves of the

position and work of their great High Priest. Otherwise it will be impossible for

them to exercise the faith which is essential at this time or to occupy the position

which God designs them to fill. Every individual has a soul to save or to lose. Each

has a case pending at the bar of God. Each must meet the great Judge face to face.

How important, then, that every mind contemplate often the solemn scene when the

judgment shall sit and the books shall be opened, when, with Daniel, every

individual must stand in his lot, at the end of the days.”

39 10/1/2020

{GC 488.3} “All who have received the light upon these subjects are to bear testimony of the great truths which God has committed to them. The sanctuary

in heaven is the very center of Christ’s work in behalf of men. It concerns every soul living upon the earth. It opens to view the plan of redemption,

bringing us down to the very close of time and revealing the triumphant issue

of the contest between righteousness and sin. It is of the utmost importance that

all should thoroughly investigate these subjects and be able to give an answer

to everyone that asketh them a reason of the hope that is in them.”

40 10/1/2020

{RH April 5, 1898, par. 2}{1SM 211.2} “In His teachings, Christ showed how far-reaching are the principles of the law spoken from Sinai. He made a living

application of that law whose principles remain forever the great standard

of righteousness—the standard by which all shall be judged in that great

day when the judgment shall sit, and the books shall be opened. He came

to fulfill all righteousness, and, as the head of humanity, to show man that he

can do the same work, meeting every specification of the requirements of God .

Through the measure of His grace furnished to the human agent, not one need

miss heaven. Perfection of character is attainable by every one who strives for

it. This is made the very foundation of the new covenant of the gospel . The law

of Jehovah is the tree; the gospel is the fragrant blossoms and fruit which

it bears.”

41 10/1/2020

{RH January 28, 1909, par. 18} “When the judgment shall sit, and the books shall be opened, and every man shall be judged according to the things written in the

books, then the tables of stone, hidden by God until that day, will be presented

before the world as the standard of righteousness. Then men and women will

see that the prerequisite of their salvation is obedience to the perfect law of

God. None will find excuse for sin. By the righteous principles of that law,

men will receive their sentence of life or of death.”

Dan 7:11a “I beheld then because of the voice of the

great words which the horn spake…” (also Dan 7:8, 25)

Dan 8:25 “And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his

hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy

many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be

broken without hand.”

Rev 13:5-6 “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things

and blasphemies…And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.”

2Th 2:3-4 “…that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth

and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so

that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is

God.” (see “king of the north” actions after 1844 in Dan 11:40-45)

10/1/2020 44

Dan 7:11a “I beheld then…” “then” points to time after Christ moved to the most holy place in the

heavenly temple (Heb 8:5) initiating judgment on 10/22/1844 (Dan 8:13-14,

26).

Heb 8:5 “Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See,

saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in

the mount.”

10/1/2020 45

Dan 7:11b “…I beheld even till the beast was slain, and

his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.” Beast’s “body” slain: The “horn” becomes a “beast,” obtaining persecutory enforcement powers from all nations on earth; the “man of sin,” the “lawless one,” the 666 “man,” the “eighth, and is of the seven” (2Th 2:3-9; Rev 12:3;

13:18; 17:8-11)

Dan 11:45 “…he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.” (Eze

28:18; Dan 7:26b; Rev 16:12)

Rev 17:16 “…these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.” Rev 18:9 “And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall

see the smoke of her burning” (also Rev 19:20)

10/1/2020 46

Dan 7:12a “As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had

their dominion taken away…” The lion, bear, leopard, and dreadful/terrible beasts representing Babylon,

Medo-Persia, Greece, pagan Rome.

When Jesus completes judgment and the “kingdom” is granted Him, “dominion” (God’s remnant people) is removed.

Dan 7:26 “But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion,

to consume and to destroy it unto the end.”

Could there be a dual application of these “beasts” referring to the end time ten horns/kings (apostate Protestant religions) of Rev 17:12-17 who influence

the nations to persecute commandment keepers?

10/1/2020 47

Dan 7:12b “…yet their lives were prolonged for a season

and time.” Dan 4:16 “Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.”

Dan 4:23 “…till seven times pass over him”

Dan 4:25 “…and seven times shall pass over thee…”

Dan 4:32 “…and seven times shall pass over thee…”

`iddan (Aramaic), a literal year. (see Dan 7:25). Context determines whether

time is calculated literally or prophetically. “Time” can be 360 years or 360 days. “Season” zeman (H2166, Aramaic) is also translated as “time.” (Dan 7:22, 25).

Could this statement refer to a literal 15 month period?

Dan 7:13 “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven,

and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought

him near before him.” The completion of judgment that began 10/22/1844 and appointment of God’s kingdom is described here and in verse 14.

Mat 25:31-33 “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy

angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him

shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a

shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his

right hand, but the goats on the left.” (see John 5:22-30)

Dan 7:13 “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven,

and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought

him near before him.” 2Co 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that

every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath

done, whether it be good or bad.”

Heb 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

1Pe 4:6 “For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to

God in the spirit.”

Dan 7:13 “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven,

and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought

him near before him.” Rev 1:7 “Behold, he cometh with clouds…”

Rev 1:13 “…one like unto the Son of man…”

Rev 14:14-16 “And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one

sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his

hand a sharp sickle. And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a

loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the

time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat

on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.”

{GC 424.3} “This coming is foretold also by the prophet Malachi: “The Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Messenger of the

covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 3:1. The coming of the Lord to His temple was sudden, unexpected, to

His people. They were not looking for Him there. They expected Him to come

to earth, “in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel.” 2 Thessalonians 1:8.”

{GC 426.1} “The coming of Christ as our high priest to the most holy place, for the cleansing of the sanctuary, brought to view in Daniel 8:14; the coming of

the Son of man to the Ancient of Days, as presented in Daniel 7:13; and the

coming of the Lord to His temple, foretold by Malachi, are descriptions of the

same event; and this is also represented by the coming of the bridegroom to the

marriage, described by Christ in the parable of the ten virgins, of Matthew 25.”

52 10/1/2020

{EW 251.1} “Jesus sent His angels to direct the minds of the disappointed ones to the most holy place, where He had gone to cleanse the sanctuary and make a

special atonement for Israel. Jesus told the angels that all who found Him

would understand the work which He was to perform. I saw that while Jesus

was in the most holy place He would be married to the New Jerusalem;

and after His work should be accomplished in the holiest, He would descend to

the earth in kingly power and take to Himself the precious ones who had

patiently waited His return.”

53 10/1/2020

{SR 402.2} “I saw angels hurrying to and fro in heaven. An angel with a writer's inkhorn by his side returned from the earth and reported to Jesus that his work

was done, and the saints were numbered and sealed. Then I saw Jesus, who had

been ministering before the ark containing the Ten Commandments, throw

down the censer. He raised His hands, and with a loud voice said, “It is done.” And all the angelic host laid off their crowns as Jesus made the solemn

declaration, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he

that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11.” (Note: Rev 8:5)

54 10/1/2020

{SR 402.3} “Every case had been decided for life or death. While Jesus had been ministering in the sanctuary, the judgment had been going on for the righteous

dead, and then for the righteous living. Christ had received His kingdom,

having made the atonement for His people and blotted out their sins. The

subjects of the kingdom were made up. The marriage of the Lamb was

consummated. And the kingdom, and the greatness of the kingdom under the

whole heaven, was given to Jesus and the heirs of salvation, and Jesus was to

reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.”

Dan 7:14 “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and

languages, should serve him: his dominion is an

everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and

his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Rom 12:1-2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your

reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed

by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and

acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Dan 7:14 “And there was given him dominion, and

glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and

languages, should serve him: his dominion is an

everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and

his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” (7:27)

Psa 8:6 “Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou

hast put all things under his feet” (see Psa 2:6-8; 110:1-2; 145:13)

Dan 2:44 “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a

kingdom…”

Dan 12:1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which

standeth for the children of thy people…”

{GC 426.2} “…the bride represents the Holy City, and the virgins that go out

to meet the bridegroom are a symbol of the church. In the Revelation the

people of God are said to be the guests at the marriage supper. Revelation

19:9. If guests, they cannot be represented also as the bride. Christ, as stated

by the prophet Daniel, will receive from the Ancient of Days in heaven,

“dominion, and glory, and a kingdom;” He will receive the New Jerusalem,

the capital of His kingdom, “prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Daniel 7:14; Revelation 21:2. Having received the kingdom, He

will come in His glory, as King of kings and Lord of lords, for the redemption

of His people, who are to “sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob,” at His table in His kingdom (Matthew 8:11; Luke 22:30), to partake of the

marriage supper of the Lamb.”

58 10/1/2020

{GC 479.3} “Daniel 7:13, 14. The coming of Christ here described is not His

second coming to the earth. He comes to the Ancient of Days in heaven to

receive dominion and glory and a kingdom, which will be given Him at the

close of His work as a mediator. It is this coming, and not His second advent to

the earth, that was foretold in prophecy to take place at the termination of the

2300 days in 1844. Attended by heavenly angels, our great High Priest enters

the holy of holies and there appears in the presence of God to engage in the last

acts of His ministration in behalf of man—to perform the work of investigative

judgment and to make an atonement for all who are shown to be entitled to its

benefits.”

59 10/1/2020

{GC 488.2} “Those who would share the benefits of the Saviour’s mediation should permit nothing to interfere with their duty to perfect holiness in the fear of God. The precious hours, instead of being given to pleasure, to display, or to gain seeking, should be devoted to an earnest, prayerful study of the word of truth. The subject of the sanctuary and the investigative judgment should be clearly understood by the people of God. All need a knowledge for themselves of the position and work of their great High Priest. Otherwise it will be impossible for them to exercise the faith which is essential at this time or to occupy the position which God designs them to fill. Every individual has a soul to save or to lose. Each has a case pending at the bar of God. Each must meet the great Judge face to face. How important, then, that every mind contemplate often the solemn scene when the judgment shall sit and the books shall be opened, when, with Daniel, every individual must stand in his lot, at the end of the days.”

60 10/1/2020

{GC 488.3} “All who have received the light upon these subjects are to bear

testimony of the great truths which God has committed to them. The

sanctuary in heaven is the very center of Christ’s work in behalf of men. It concerns every soul living upon the earth. It opens to view the plan of

redemption, bringing us down to the very close of time and revealing the

triumphant issue of the contest between righteousness and sin. It is of the

utmost importance that all should thoroughly investigate these subjects and be

able to give an answer to everyone that asketh them a reason of the hope that

is in them.”

{GC 489.1} “The intercession of Christ in man’s behalf in the sanctuary above is as essential to the plan of salvation as was His death upon the

cross.”

61 10/1/2020

{GC 428.1} “In the parable of Matthew 22 the same figure of the marriage is introduced, and the investigative judgment is clearly represented as taking

place before the marriage. Previous to the wedding the king comes in to see the

guests, to see if all are attired in the wedding garment, the spotless robe of

character washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb. Matthew 22:11;

Revelation 7:14. He who is found wanting is cast out, but all who upon

examination are seen to have the wedding garment on are accepted of God and

accounted worthy of a share in His kingdom and a seat upon His throne. This

work of examination of character, of determining who are prepared for

the kingdom of God, is that of the investigative judgment, the closing work

in the sanctuary above.”

62 10/1/2020

{GC 428.2} “When the work of investigation shall be ended, when the cases of those who in all ages have professed to be followers of Christ have been

examined and decided, then, and not till then, probation will close, and the

door of mercy will be shut. Thus in the one short sentence, “They that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut,” we are carried down through the Saviour’s final ministration, to the time when the great work

for man’s salvation shall be completed.”

63 10/1/2020

{SpM 2.1} “Then I saw that Jesus’ work in the sanctuary will soon be finished. And after His work there is finished, He will come to the door of the first

apartment, and confess the sins of Israel upon the head of the Scape Goat.

Then He will put on the garments of vengeance. Then the plagues will come

upon the wicked, and they do not come till Jesus puts on that garment, and

takes His place upon the great white cloud….”

Lev 16:21 “And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their

transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and

shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness”

{SpM 2.2} “The great white cloud I saw was not the holy place, but entirely

separate from the holy and most holy place, entirely separate from the

sanctuary.” (see Rev 14:14-16)

Rom 2:4-7 “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and

longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to

repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto

thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous

judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To

them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and

immortality, eternal life:”

1Jo 2:1-2 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the

sins of the whole world.”

Dan 7:15-16 “15I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the

midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled

me. 16I came near unto one of them that stood by, and

asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and

made me know the interpretation of the things.” This vision was so vital that it was attended by more than one heavenly being

to provide witnesses and to emphasize its importance.

Dan 7:28 “…As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me…”

10/1/2020 67

Dan 7:17 “These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.” These “beasts” are “kings” as well as “kingdoms.”

“Kings” are synonymous with the lines of kings that ruled these political

empires. Dan 2:38: “Thou art this head of gold.”

The lines of kings that ruled were usually inherited positions within “royal” families. The kings origination is contrasted by coming from earth as opposed

to coming from the common people, represented by the “sea.” (compare to “kings of the earth” in Rev 1:5; 6:15; 16:14; 17:2, 18; 18:3, 9; 19:19; 21:24). This means these kings are political, not religious.

Dan 7:3 “And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from

another.” The “sea” indicates these empires arose in the populated area of the Mediterranean region.

{PK 535.1} “Every nation that has come upon the stage of action has been permitted to occupy its place on the earth, that the fact might be determined

whether it would fulfill the purposes of the Watcher and the Holy One.

Prophecy has traced the rise and progress of the world’s great empires—Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. With each of these, as with the

nations of less power, history has repeated itself. Each has had its period of

test; each has failed, its glory faded, its power departed.”

68 10/1/2020

{GC 440.1} “But the beast with lamblike horns was seen “coming up out of the earth.” Instead of overthrowing other powers to establish itself, the nation

thus represented must arise in territory previously unoccupied and grow

up gradually and peacefully. It could not, then, arise among the crowded and

struggling nationalities of the Old World—that turbulent sea of “peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.” It must be sought in the Western Continent.”

exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his

stamped the residue with his feet” (Dan 7:7; 8:9; 11:20-22)

Dan 2:33 “His legs of iron…”

Dan 2:40 “And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron

breaketh in pieces and subdueth all…”

Dan 4:15 “Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass…” (also Dan 4:23) Bronze nails: Reference of the Hellenistic/Greek influence within Rome.

Dan 7:20 “And of the ten horns that were in his head,

and of the other which came up, and before whom

three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a

mouth that spake very great things, whose look was

more stout than his fellows.” (Dan 7:7-8)

As these horns are seen on the beast’s head of Imperial/pagan Rome, continuing after AD476, they are political, not religious kings/kingdoms.

Eyes and a mouth: Alludes to an individual leading a “power” (horn). This power “speaks” by decree, blaspheming the “Prince of princes” (Dan 8:25), making this “little horn” a religious entity beginning in AD538.

Dan 8:23 “…when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce

countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.”

Rev 13:3b-6 “…and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped

blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the

beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or

in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow

themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the

LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.”

Dan 7:23 “Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the

fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse

from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth,

and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.” Rome was initially established as a republic (ruled by the people through

elected representatives). (see Dan 2:40)

Rome’s governance evolved into several forms between 509BC-AD476.1

Rome destroyed past history and supplanted its culture in place of historical

tradition; a tyranny, equivalent with “rewriting” history. Papal Rome arose to prominence in AD538 via the Code of Justinian, a

religious power exerting worldwide influence, different from historical powers.

“Another”: Dan 7:8, 11; 8:10-12, 23-25, Rev 13:1-10.

To qualify as one of the “three kings,” a tribe must have been organized to have had a king.6 These three tribal “kingdoms,” labeled as having Arian beliefs were likely 7th day Sabbath keepers, and strongly opposed the papal

church which, in turn, orchestrated their demise through the armies of other

tribal kings. 1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vandalic_War 2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mauro-Roman_Kingdom 3 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6th_century

Dan 7:25b “and think to change times and laws:”

Mat 5:17 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.”

Heb 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Jas 2:10 “For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.”

Rev 13:12 “And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and

causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose

deadly wound was healed.”

The papacy eliminated the 2nd commandment and “7th day” from the 4th,

dividing the 10th into two commandments in its Catechism. (also “evening and morning” Gen 1)

{RH April 17, 1900, par. 4} “…the great apostate has changed the signpost, setting

up a false one—a spurious sabbath. He says: “I will work at cross purposes with God. I will empower my delegate, the man of sin, to take down God’s memorial, the seventh-day Sabbath. Thus will I show the world that the day

sanctified and blessed by God has been changed. That day shall not live in the

minds of the people. I will obliterate the memory of it. I will place in its stead a

day bearing not the credentials of heaven, a day that can not be a sign between

God and his people. I will lead the people who accept this day, to place upon it

the sanctify that God placed upon the seventh day. Through my vicegerent I

will exalt myself. The first day shall be extolled, and the Protestant world shall

receive this spurious sabbath as genuine.”

{7BC 979.7} “But the man of sin, exalting himself above God, sitting in the

temple of God, and showing himself to be God, thought to change times and

laws. This power, thinking to prove that it was not only equal to God, but

above God, changed the rest day, placing the first day of the week where the

seventh should be. And the Protestant world has taken this child of the papacy

to be regarded as sacred. In the Word of God this is called her fornication.”

86 10/1/2020

{RH January 1, 1889, par. 4} “There is a satanic force propelling the Sunday movement, but it is concealed. Even the men who are engaged in the work, are

themselves blinded to the results which will follow their movement . Let not the

commandment-keeping people of God be silent at this time, as though we

gracefully accepted the situation. There is the prospect before us, of waging

a continuous war, at the risk of imprisonment, of losing property and even life

itself, to defend the law of God, which is being made void by the laws of men.

This Bible text will be quoted to us, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.... The powers that be are ordained of God.”

87 10/1/2020

{ST January 17, 1884, par. 12} “Men in responsible positions will not only ignore and despise the Sabbath themselves, but from the sacred desk, will urge upon

the people the observance of the first day of the week, pleading tradition and

custom in behalf of this man-made institution. They will point to calamities on

land and sea—to the storms of wind, the floods, the earthquakes, the

destruction by fire—as judgments indicating God’s displeasure because Sunday is not sacredly observed. These calamities will increase more and more, one

disaster will follow close upon the heels of another; and those who make

void the law of God will point to the few who are keeping the Sabbath of

the fourth commandment as the ones who are bringing wrath upon the

world. This falsehood is Satan’s device that he may ensnare the unwary.”

88 10/1/2020

{Ms35-1900.7} “The Lord has a special message for His ambassadors to bear. They are to give the people the warning, calling upon them to repair the

breach that has been made by the papacy in the law of God. The Sabbath

has been made a nonentity, an unessential requirement, which human authority

can set aside. The holy day of the Lord has been changed to a common

working day. Men have torn down God’s memorial, placing a false rest day in its stead.”

What constitutes “the warning” in a mission of “hope and wholeness”?

89 10/1/2020

{EW 65.1} “The pope has changed the day of rest from the seventh to the first

day. He has thought to change the very commandment that was given to cause

man to remember his Creator. He has thought to change the greatest

commandment in the Decalogue and thus make himself equal with God, or

even exalt himself above God. The Lord is unchangeable, therefore His law is

immutable; but the pope has exalted himself above God, in seeking to change

His immutable precepts of holiness, justice, and goodness. He has trampled

underfoot God’s sanctified day, and, on his own authority, put in its place one of the six laboring days. The whole nation has followed after the beast, and

every week they rob God of His holy time. The pope has made a breach in the

holy law of God, but I saw that the time had fully come for this breach to be

made up by the people of God and the waste places built up.” (see GC 51-54)

continuous hours and begins at midnight unless other provision is expressly

Dan 7:25c “and they shall be given into his hand until a

time and times and the dividing of time.” (360+[360x2]+180=1,260): Referencing 538-1798 (1,260 years) persecution

of the saints. (compare Dan 7:25; 12:7; Rev 11:2, 3; 12:6, 14; 13:5)

Mat 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the

beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”

Mar 13:19-20 “For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the

beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved:

but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.”

until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.” (note Rev 11:2)

"We Catholics do not accept the Bible as the only rule of faith. Besides the Bible we have the living Church, the authority of the Church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this Church instituted by Christ, to teach and guide men through life, has the right to change the Ceremonial laws of the Old Testament and hence, we accept her change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes, the Church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws, for instance, the Friday Abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages, and a thousand other laws. "We also say that of all protestants, the Seventh-day Adventists are the only group that reason correctly and are consistent with their teachings. It is always somewhat laughable to see the Protestant Churches, in pulpit and legislature demand the observance of Sundays of which there is nothing in the Bible. With best wishes, Peter R. Tramer, Editor" [of The Catholic Extension Magazine, in response to a letter May 22, 1954.]

"Dear Friend, I have offered and still offer $1000 to any one who can prove to me from the Bible alone that I am bound, under grievous sin to keep Sunday holy. It was the Catholic Church which made the law obliging us to keep Sunday holy. The church made this law long after the Bible was written. Hence said law is not in the Bible. Christ, our Lord empowered his church to make laws binding in conscience. He said to his apostles and their lawful sucessors in the priesthood "Whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be binding in heaven." Mth. 16:19. Mth. 18:17. Luke 16:19. The Cath. Church abolished not only the Sabbath, but all the other Jewish festivals.

Pray and study. I shall be always glad to help you as long as you honestly seek the truth.

Respectfully,

T. Enright CssR” (Bishop of St. Alphonsus Church, St. Louis, Missouri, June, 1905) http://www.iaua.name/Letter.html (as of 03/19/2018) (Note Psa 89:34)

{SR 328.1} “The detector of error having been removed, Satan worked according to his will. Prophecy had declared that the Papacy was to “think to change times and laws.” Daniel 7:25. This work it was not slow to attempt. To afford converts from heathenism a substitute for the worship of idols, and thus to

promote their nominal acceptance of Christianity, the adoration of images and

relics was gradually introduced into the Christian worship. The decree of a

general council finally established this system of popish idolatry. To complete

the sacrilegious work, Rome presumed to expunge from the law of God the

second commandment, forbidding image worship, and to divide the tenth

commandment, in order to preserve the number.”

95 10/1/2020

{SR 329.2} “Vast councils were held, from time to time, in which the dignitaries of the church were convened from all the world. In nearly every council the

Sabbath which God had instituted was pressed down a little lower, while the

Sunday was correspondingly exalted. Thus the pagan festival came finally to

be honored as a divine institution, while the Bible Sabbath was pronounced a

relic of Judaism, and its observers were declared to be accursed.”

96 10/1/2020

{GC 356.1} “The apostle Paul warned the church not to look for the coming of Christ in his day. “That day shall not come,” he says, “except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed.” 2 Thessalonians 2:3. Not till after the great apostasy, and the long period of the reign of the “man of sin,” can we look for the advent of our Lord. The “man of sin,” which is also styled “the mystery of iniquity,” “the son of perdition,” and “that wicked,” represents

the papacy, which, as foretold in prophecy, was to maintain its supremacy for

1260 years. This period ended in 1798. The coming of Christ could not take

place before that time. Paul covers with his caution the whole of the Christian

dispensation down to the year 1798. It is this side of that time that the

message of Christ’s second coming is to be proclaimed.”

97 10/1/2020

{GC 439.2} “Power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” And, says the prophet, “I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death.” And again: “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with

the sword must be killed with the sword.” The forty and two months are the

same as the “time and times and the dividing of time,” three years and a half, or 1260 days, of Daniel 7 - - the time during which the papal power was to

oppress God’s people. This period, as stated in preceding chapters, began with

the supremacy of the papacy, A.D. 538, and terminated in 1798. At that time

the pope was made captive by the French army, the papal power received

its deadly wound, and the prediction was fulfilled, “He that leadeth into

captivity shall go into captivity.”

98 10/1/2020

{GC 446.1} “The special characteristic of the beast, and therefore of his image, is the breaking of God’s commandments. Says Daniel, of the little horn, the papacy: “He shall think to change times and the law.” Daniel 7:25, R.V. And Paul styled the same power the “man of sin,” who was to exalt himself above God. One prophecy is a complement of the other. Only by changing God’s law could the papacy exalt itself above God; whoever should understandingly

keep the law as thus changed would be giving supreme honor to that power by

which the change was made. Such an act of obedience to papal laws would be

a mark of allegiance to the pope in the place of God.”

Pope Pius VI

Taken Captive

02/20/1798

“That afternoon he had us accompany him to the cathedral and look upon the bust of Pius VI who was noted in prophecy,

who was led into captivity and died in captivity. Here was the

one marked in history who received the deadly wound. His heart is encased in the marble monument beneath where the bust

is placed. We felt rather solemn as we looked upon the

monument of this man noted in prophecy.” {Lt110-1886.5} (To W. C.

Dan 7:26a “But the judgment shall sit,” (Dan 7:10, 22)

Just after the 1,260 years of papal rule ended in 1798, at the precise end of the

2,300 day/year prophecy of Dan 8:14 (10/22/1844), the “investigative” judgment started in Heaven on the Day of Atonement in 1844.

Mal 3:1 “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way

before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple,

even the messenger of the covenant…”

Rev 11:1 “And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that

worship therein.”

10/1/2020 102

Dan 7:26b “and they shall take away his dominion, to

consume and to destroy it unto the end.” Implying that sometime after 1844, the little horn/papacy will again become a

persecuting “beast” exercising power over the saints (dominion); ruling with

the kings of the earth. (Rev 13:12-17)

Rev 17:11 “And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of

the seven, and goeth into perdition.”

Dan 12:1 “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which

standeth for the children of thy people…and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.”

Executive judgment punishing the wicked (Rev 14:17-20; 16:1-21; 18:6-24;

19:17-21; 20:7-10).

10/1/2020 103

Dan 7:27 “And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven,

shall be given to the people of the saints of the most

High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and

all dominions shall serve and obey him.” The saints are given the kingdom after the 1,000 years. (Rev 20-22)

Christ’s kingdom is the saints at the close of probation. (Dan 7:14, 18)

Luk 1:33 “And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his

kingdom there shall be no end.”

Rev 11:15 “…The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”

10/1/2020 104

Dan 7:28 “Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my

countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in

my heart.” Daniel was troubled because he understood the vision and time prophecy.

Dan 7:15 “I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.”

Dan 8:27 “And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up,

and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none

understood it.”
