Intro Barcelona is located on the Mediterranean coast close to the border with france. The city is famous for g’s architectural creations the most important being sagrada familia cathedral. History 2 legends talk about the foundation of Barcelona is the subject of two different legends. The first attributes the founding of the city to Hercules 400 years before the building of Rome. According to the other legend the town was founded by Carthaginian Hamilcar Barca, father of Hannibal, who named the city Barcino after his family, in the 3rd century BC. 2.POINTS OF INTEREST Parks The most famous of all is p guell. gaudi wanted to make it a residential area but the project wasn’t carried out. it is a place of entertainment, locals and tourists enjoying the music of street artists the splendid view and the fresh air. LA RAMBLA Famous for the statues that become alive surprising the tourists who photograph themselves next to them. Alive stues MUSEUMS Barcelona has a great number of museums, which cover different areas and epoques.
