The media has reported that demonstrations will likely occur around the Capitol in reaction to this proposed legislation. While County ordinances and work rules prohibit employees from conducting political activity on County time, we recognize that some employees will want to participate on their own time. If an employee chooses to participate, please remember that it must be done during off duty time or during authorized time off. Employees must follow their department’s established procedures for requesting and authorizing time away from work. In addition, please remember that building rules prohibit posting political signs in or around County facilities, so please do not post signs in windows, on the exterior of buildings, or in any publicly visible parts of your office or work area. Thank you. Travis Myren Director of Administration
