LEAF ADVENTURE

The teeth on a leaf are the little ridges on the blade

A leaf can have a lobe that is like an ear lobe with an indented part

A palmate leaf is a leaf that looks like your palm

when it opens

A pinnate leaf is how you see little bumps at the top when you put your fingers

together like a mitten

A parallel leaf is when the veins of a leaf go up and

down

A whorled leaf is a leaf with a lot of leaflets

around it

A simple leaf is only one leaf

A compound leaf is a bunch of leaflets on one

midrib

A scaly leaf is a leaf that feels a little rough

A smooth leaf is very soft

Bundles of needles are groups of needles

An evergreen tree is a tree that has needles with

wax on them

A deciduous tree has broad and flat leaves

This shows single evergreen needles

These leaflets are in an opposite arrangement

These leaves are in an alternate arrangement
