The 2017-2018 academic year is off to a
fabulous start at the Dallas Campus! Learners
are "rowing the boat" and making
unprecedented progress. For the 2017-2018
academic year we have a new monitoring/
pacing tool and have added some
outstanding educators to the team.
New faces on the Dallas campus include:
Mr. Moyer (Math)
Ms. Cox (Science)
Mr. Miller (Generalist)
Ms. Powell (ELA)
Ms. Montgomery (ELA)
Ms. Troxtell (Counselor)
Ms. McCraw (ELL Specialist)
Ms. Fuentes (Art)
New this year is the implementation of a
school-wide progress monitoring tool. Our goal
is to help all learners stay on track with their
academic progress. Our push is to have them
earn more than the 6.5 credit minimum for the
year. All learners have progress goals that are
checked every other Friday. We would be happy
to go over that tool and explain how that works
should this be news to you.

Hello team, my name is Michael
Boyefio or Mr. “B”. I am the
Instructional Assistant here
at Winfree in Dallas “Ace of
Spade”. I believe I am very funny
and pretty chill for the most part.
A little bit about me, I was
originally born in Ghana, Accra.
That is in Africa. I love sports and
can pretty much talk about it all
day. I went to school at THE
A&M Texas Commerce
University where I studied human
performance and kinesiology. My
motivation is my family and my
students, I strive for perfection in
all I do.
Hi Winfree Dallas Families!
My name is Alex Troxtell or Mrs. T and I am very excited to be the
school counselor this year! I have loved these first weeks of getting to
know the learners and talking about what their goals are for the
semester and beyond Winfree.
A little bit about me: I was born in Dallas, raised all over Texas. I
attended Texas A&M (Gig Em!) and then moved to Alaska with my
husband for four years. In Alaska, I received my Masters in Counseling
Education with a focus in School Counseling. I am very excited to be
back in this 100 degree weather and bear-free state! I love watching
football, being outside, and playing with my beagle, Wilbur.
Please let me know if I can help to support you and your learner!

Community Friday Community is a time when we come
together as a campus every Friday with
our learners. This time is used to
celebrate and motivate as we close the
week out together.
