STEPS OF PREPARATION OF CULTURE MEDIA

Material: Sensitive balance Flask Measuring cylinder Filter paper Distilled water Bunsen burner Autoclave Sterile Petri dish Bottle of media to be prepared

Method Read the formula in the bottle of media, and

count the amount of the powder according to the volume you want to prepare

Using the sensitive balance weight the media

Add the accurate amount of distilled water Dissolve the content by heating in BB Sterilize the media in autoclave 121C for 10

minutes, or according to the instruction in the bottle

Dispense in sterile petri dishs

PRACTICAL According to the formula Prepare 100 ml of 10% blood agar 100 of CLED 100m kilglar iron agar
