    S TITCH G UIDE Half Treble Crochet (htr): Yo hook twice, insert hook, yo and pu up a oop. Yo and pu through 2 oops, yoand pu through rem 3 oops.

    N OTES The crown of the hat is worked in continuous spira ing rounds. The co ors in the crown are not cut and re-joined,so you may nd it he pfu to p ace a safety pin in the ive oops of inactive co ors whi e working with the activeco or to prevent them from unrave ing. When switching co ors, simp y remove hook from oop of current co orand p ace oop of next co or to be used on the hook. Once the crown is comp ete, the hat is worked down to thebrim with no further increasing. If you wou d ike to adjust the size of your hat, you may add or subtractrounds from the crown portion of the hat; simp y measure the circumference of the crown after any round hasbeen comp eted to see what the nished circumference of the hat wi be.

Move marker at the end of each round -12 sts.Round 2: With D, work 2 dc in each A st. Repeatwith A (working in to co or B sts), B (working inco or C sts), and C (working in co or D sts)-24 dc.

    Note: When you reach the marker at the end ofeach round, the co or rotation wi not be comp ete.
