SEL
*Tell everyone in your family at least one nice thing about them. OR *Make a list of things you love about your family.
ELA.
Morning work page Worksheet pg87and 88, pencil Journey text book pgs. 218-227
*Circle Hh’s, write go, write beginning sounds of pictures and add dots *Read the direction at the bottom of the pages. *Determine if the picture starts with a /y/ or /q/ sound. Name the picture then write both uppercase and lowercase Yy or Qq for the beginning sound next to the picture. *Words with y, qu: Many times when we write a “Q” word we write a Qu for the /Qq/ sound. So, when you hear a word that’s a ‘Q’ word it’s spelled with a ‘qu’. Ex: queen, quarter, quilt, quart, quince, quiet, quit *Point and spell the High Frequency words on pages218-219. Then underline with finger and read the word.
*Do either pg 220 or 221. *Read “Not Yet” and discuss.
Daily ELA Practice
2 people *Practice giving all the sounds you hear in words. Parent say: sand. Child answers: s – a – n- d. Practice this frequently. When your child is catching on and can hear the individual sounds in the words make the words harder. Words that have two letters that make one sound such as, flip. This is harder for kids to hear the f – l in flip as two sounds therefore two letters. *Here are some words: cat, dog, bog, frog ( f – r – o – g), flip, sack, trip, game, pine, forth ( f – or – th), star (s – t – ar), which (w – i – ch), *Log your reading on your reading log.
PE Play Simon Says Do 10 Jumping Jacks, rest, do 10 more and repeat.
Math
Worksheets pgs 255-256
*Read directions on the top of the page. Count items, write number, compare which is greater than and which is less than, write G for greater and L for less. * Don’t forget to make the sets equal by crossing out the ones that are more. *Check to see if Puzzled Penguin did his problems right.
Daily Math Practice
Paper, pencil *Practice counting on from any given number. *Practice writing your numerals to at least 20, 100 is better. *Count by 10’s and 5’s to 100.
Science
Computer, tablet or phone
Optional * Go to YouTube for Kids, search for “Take a Field Trip to the Animal Farm/ KidVision Pre-K *Discuss what your favorite farm animal is and tell why it’s your favorite. Speak in complete sentences

Ej: queen, quarter, quilt, quart, quince, quiet, quit
* Leer " Not Yet” y discutir.

Ducks on a LakeMath Idea: solving word problems
Tell students that sometimes a good way to solve an addition word problem is to act it out with objects. Then give each child several yellow pom-poms (ducks) and a sheet of blue paper (lake). Recite the rhyme shown, encouraging youngsters to put corresponding sets of ducks on their lakes. Then have students determine the total number of ducks on the lake. Repeat the activity several times, changing the numbers as desired.
There were [five] little ducks on the lake one day.[Three] more ducks came to splash and play. How many ducks were on that lake? What number does [five] and [three] make?
