FAYETTEVILLE Miss Cynthia Anne Walker of Henderson has been elected

president of the Methodist College Alumni Association. Daughter of Mrs. Harry

Walker of Route 2, Durham, she is a local native. She is a 1961 graduate of

Hillsboro High School and a 1965 graduate of Methodist College. Miss Walker

is the first woman to hold the alumni office at the coeducational liberal arts

institution in Fayetteville.

A librarian in the Vance County

public school system, Miss Walker has been elected twice to the alumni associa-

tion's board of directors before seeking the presidency. She is listed in the

1971 publication "Outstanding Young Women of America."

has been named to the second semester Dean's List at Methodist College in

Fayetteville.

Dr. Samuel J. Wornack, Academic Dean at Methodist,

said a student must earn a "B" or better average on 15 or more semester hours to

qualify for the honor.
