INTRODUCTION

Daily Deals Extension used for set deals for specific time duration by creating different rules on

product SKU, Category and Attribute set.

Manage stickers on product listing page and product view page.

FEATURES

Apply Deal on products, category and attribute set. (supported product types > simple,

downloadable, virtual product) Manage top links for display Active, Upcoming and Missed deals. Display deal ends and starts timer on front end. Can create deal of the day product which display on left/right sidebar. Manage store wise deal stickers or manage specific sticker from manage products. Manage sort orders of deals. Supported Multi Websites.

Supported Customer Groups Price.

Labels for Active, Inactive, Upcoming and Ended Deal on admin deal grid.

Option for show left product stock. Supported Security Patch SUPEE-6788. Supported Magento version 1.4.x-1.9.x.

Note: After applying deal price on product, there is no effect of any discounted price like

Special Price, Catalog Price, etc.

Note: Before installing the extension, please:

1. Disable Compilation by going to Backend -> System -> Tool -> Compilation

2. If your website is live, please backup your store database.




INSTALLATION STEPS

Using Magento Connect: Step-1 Go to admin → System → Magento Connect → Magento Connect Manager.

You will get Following Screen. Enter your Username and Password here then, click on

the login.

Step-2

You will get following screen. Select the package "Dailydeals-1.2.0.tgz" using Browse button and Click on the Upload Button.




Step-3 Log out from admin panel and re-login to admin panel.

Manually Installation:

Step-1

Unpack the contents of the “Dailydeals” folder from package file purchased.

Step-2

Copy dailydeals folder from js/ and put it in to your magento /js/ folder.

Step-3

Copy “CapacityWebSolutions_Dailydeals.xml” from app/etc/modules/ and put it in to

your magento app/etc/modules/ folder.




Step-4

Copy CapacityWebSolutions folder from app/code/community/ and put it in to your

magento app/code/community/ folder.

Step-5

Copy “dailydeals.xml” from app/design/adminhtml/default/default/layout/ and put it

in to your magento app/design/adminhtml/default/default/layout/ folder.

Step-6

Copy dailydeals folder from app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/ and

put it in to your magento app/design/adminhtml/default/default/template/ folder.

Step-7

Copy dailydeals folder from skin/frontend/base/default/css/ and put it in to your

magento skin/frontend/<your package>/<Your theme>/css/ folder.

Copy dailydeals folder from skin/frontend/rwd/default/css/ and put it in to your

magento skin/frontend/rwd/default/css/ folder. (Only for magento 1.9 rwd package)

Step-8

Copy dailydeals folder from app/design/frontend/base/default/template/ and put it in

to your magento app/design/frontend/<Your package>/<Your theme>/template/

folder.

Copy dailydeals folder from app/design/frontend/rwd/default/template/ and put it in

to your magento app/design/frontend/rwd/default/template/ folder. (Only for

magento 1.9 rwd package)

Step-9

Copy “dailydeals.xml” from app/design/frontend/base/default/layout/ and put it in to

your magento app/design/frontend/<Your package>/<Your theme>/layout/ folder.

Copy “dailydeals.xml” from app/design/frontend/rwd/default/layout/ and put it in to

your magento app/design/frontend/rwd/default/layout/ file. (Only for magento 1.9

rwd package)




Note: When you unpack the contents of the ‘Dailydeals’ folder from package file purchased

then you will get package.xml file at the root folder. There is no need to upload that file.

Note: After installing DailyDeals Extension. Please Logout from admin account and Re-login.

After Successfully installation and Re-login in admin panel and clear/refresh all your cache then

you can see “Daily Deals” menu under “MageBees” admin menu bar. Once our extension

installed then it will look like below snapshot.




CONFIGURATION SETTINGS

Go to System → Configuration → MAGEBEES → Daily Deals. OR Go to MageBees → Daily Deals → Settings.

Daily Deals Configuration

Enable Daily Deals: You can able to enable or disable this module from choosing Yes/No.

Include Jquery: You can able to include jquery library from choosing Yes/No.

Deal ends in text: You can set your custom label for deal ends timer on product listing,

product view, today’s deal page.

Deal starts in text: You can set your custom label for deal starts timer on Upcoming deal

page.




Manage Deal’s Sticker

Sticker Width in Product Listing Page: You can set deal sticker width in pixels for product

listing page.

Sticker Height in Product Listing Page: You can set deal sticker height in pixels for product

listing page.

Sticker Width in Product View Page: You can set deal sticker width in pixels for product

view page.

Sticker Height in Product View Page: You can set deal sticker height in pixels for product

view page.

Today’s Deals Settings




Enable Today’s Deals Link: On choosing Yes “Today’s Deals” link display on frontend for see

available deals.

Today’s Deals Top Link Label: You can set top link label.

Today’s Deals Template Title: You can set your title for Today’s Deals page.

Page layout: You can select page layout template.

Display left products and claimed percentage: From choosing this option you able to see

Left Deal Products and Sold product percentage.

Regular Price Text: You can set label for original product price.

Deal Price Text: You can set label for discounted product price.

You Save Text: You can set label for save percentage.

Upcoming Deals Settings

Enable Upcoming Deals Link: On choosing Yes “Upcoming Deals” link display on frontend

for see upcoming deals.

Upcoming Deals Top Link Label: You can set your top link label.

Upcoming Deals Template Title: You can set your title for Upcoming Deals page.


Display Upcoming Deal Timer on Product Page: Choose Yes for display upcoming deal timer

in product page if active deal not applied.




Missed Deals Settings

Enable Missed Deals Link: On choosing Yes “Missed Deals” link display on frontend for see

expired deals.

Missed Deals Top Link Label: You can set top link label.

Missed Deals Template Title: You can set your title for Missed Deals page.




Display Claimed Deals: From choosing this option you able to see sold product percentage.

Manage Labels For Sidebars




Enable On Left Sidebar: For enable or disable deal of the day product display on left side

bar.

Enable On Right Sidebar: For enable or disable deal of the day product display on right side

bar.

Featured Heading: You can set title or heading for left/right side bar deal product.



You Save Text: You can set label for save percentage.

Deal Ends in Text: You can set your custom label for deal ends timer.




MANAGE DEALS

Layout Settings:

ADD NEW DEAL

Step-1

Go to admin → MageBees → Daily Deals → Manage Deals.




Step-2

Click on button. You will get following screen. Deal Information Tab:

o Deal Name: You can specify the title or name of your deal.

o Apply: This dropdown allows you to decide whether the discount is a percentage or

a fixed amount, and whether the discount amount will be subtracted from the

original price (By) or whether the discount amount will be the actual final price (To).

o Discount Amount: You can specify your discount amount price here

o Deal Qty/Deal Stock: If you checked “Use default product inventory” then there is

no need to specify deal qty, its use default product inventory which is already

specify in manage product.

o Status: You can choose your deal status (Active/Inactive).




o Websites: If you have multi store or multi website then this will be display for

choose the website in which your deal apply.

o Customer Groups: You can choose your customer groups in which your deal apply.

o From Date: You can specify start date & time of your deal.

o To Date: You can specify end date & time of your deal.

o Priority: You can specify your deal sort order if there is multiple deal on same

product.

Note: This extension used your store’s time zone for deal time.

Deal Conditions Tab:

o The first rule in the Conditions section appears by default: If ALL of these conditions are TRUE. This rule specifies that the rules you define must all be met and all of them are true.

o For conditions, you can select ALL or ANY, and they can be set to TRUE or FALSE.

TIP: Leave Conditions blank to apply to all products.

o Click the “green plus” sign to display the list of product attributes (SKU, Category & Attribute Set) which can be used to describe the condition.

o Set the conditional limits for product attributes. When you select each product attribute, you can apply different combinations of conditional limits, such as: is, is not, greater than, less than, contains, does not contain, is one of, is not of one of, and many more.

TIP: Use is one of for apply deal on multiple SKU.




Deal Stickers Tab:

o Display: If you want to display sticker in product listing page which product contains

deal then choose yes. Same as for Product Page Sticker.

o Position:

You can select the position of deal sticker on product image.

o Image: You can choose your deal sticker image. If you want to change the deal

sticker dimensions you can change from settings.

TIP: If you do not upload image it will display default image on front end.

o Text: You can write text here for display on deal sticker.

Step-3

Click on OR button for save the deal.

Note: You can apply deal only on simple, virtual and downloadable product. If grouped, bundle

product associate deal product its display deal price discount.




After successfully apply deal you can see somehow like following screen:

SET DEAL OF THE DAY

Go to System → Configuration → MAGEBEES → Daily Deals. OR Go to MageBees → Daily Deals → Settings.

In “Daily Deals Configuration” Section Enable On Left Sidebar/Enable On Right Sidebar

choose “Yes” as per your requirement.

Go to Catalog → Manage Products. Open product for create deal of the day.

Select “Daily Deals Option” from tab and choose “Yes” in “Set as Deal of the Day”.

Save the product.

SET DEAL STICKERS FROM PRODUCT TAB

Go to Admin → Catalog → Manage Products.

Select “Deal Product Sticker” from tab and choose “Yes” for “Display” drop down and

fill required fields as per requirement for display on product detail page.

Select “Deal Category Sticker” from tab and choose “Yes” for “Display” drop down and

fill required fields as per requirement for display on product listing page.

Save the product.




FAQ

Q-1: I have Daily Deals Extension. But when I click on MageBees Daily Deals Settings or

System Configuration MAGEBEES Daily Deals, page will get a 404. :(.

After installing Extension logout from admin account and Re-login and Refresh Cache.

Q-2: Deal not auto start on specified date time, what to do?

This is happen due to different time-zone in your magento store. If you want to set

same date and time then, please set same time-zone as original website having.

Q-3: Deal Sticker and Timer is not display.

For display deal sticker & timer you have to add div as per specified in layout settings.

Q-4: After adding new products there is no effect in frontend.

After add new products in catalog products you have to apply deal for see effect of deal

on newly added product.

Go to MageBees → Daily Deals → Manage Deals → Click on deal for edit.

Click on “Apply Deal” button.

Q-5: How to Reset Deal Stock?

Go to MageBees → Daily Deals → Manage Deals → Click on deal for edit.

Find button in Edit Deal screen. When you click on this you will get the

following pop up.




o On click “Apply and Reset Stock Data!” all sold quantity records of current deal will be

reset for deal quantity.

Q-6: How to Manage Store wise Deal Stickers?

If you have multi stores and want to manage deal stickers store wise select any store

from Edit Deal screen. You will get the following screen.

o Choose “No” for manage deal sticker store wise for “Use Default Values for Sticker”

Drop Down.
