The objective of the comp rubric is to encourage diversity and codex exploration. Judges of thisyear's DaBoyz GT will be responsible for up to an additional 30 points of each players comp
score. After each player has created an army list, scoring a minimum of 30 points on theDaBoyz comp rubric, they will send their list to the judges for final review. During this review
process a panel of judges will look over each list with the power to award an additional 30 points
towards a player's comp score. The judges will decide to reward these points based on how wellthey believe the player created their army list keeping in mind the spirit of the GT. A player that
truly goes above and beyond in their codex exploration (treating each selection as 0-1 for
example) or changed war gear on each selection that is the same has the possibility to gain an
additional 30 points. If the judges feel a player built a list with the minimum rubric score of 30without codex exploration and ignoring the intent of the GT they will most likely not receive
extra points.
Please understand that DaBoyz understands that some armies require a special character to play
(for example: Deathwing). For each army of this type, the judges will review the list andpotentially grant an additional comp score up to 30 points, depending on the above criteria. For
example, a Deathwing army that is made up of a number of Deathwing squads with an
assortment of different weapon systems has the potential of gaining up to 30 additional comp
points based on the diversity of the units war gear/weapons. A Deathwing army made up of 5 xDeathwing terminators with TH/SS and Cyclone missile launchers will not gain additional
points.
Additional considerations for awarding comp points will be based on codex choices. For
example, Black Templars are forced to take an Emperors Champion and only have one troop
choice they can field. As long as the list as a whole shows sufficient codex exploration, thepoints lost on the rubric due to multiple HQs or only 1 troop has the ability to be made up by the
judges.
Although the comp rubric may not take points away for repetition of 4 troop units that optionsdiffer, there is a big difference between changing a 5pt piece of war gear to avoid the 20 pt
penalty and the person who greatly varied the war gear/weapons between these units. For
example, a person that has 4 tactical squads armed differently may get some bonus points versus
the person that has 4 tactical squads armed exactly the same except for some obscure 5pt piece of
war gear from squad to squad.
All lists that have passed the required minimum 30 pt rubric score are due October 8 th for comp
review and validation. Please dont hesitate to ask questions about how the rubric works. We do
not want to require people change their lists at the last minute, especially if it was due to not
understanding rubric. Please note that there will be 10 bonus points awarded to all individualsthat turn in their list by October 8th, 2011. At the time of the review, player names will be
removed from lists and comp scores will be judged by a 5 man council. Everyone on the council
has years of 40k experience and will not be playing in the 2011 DaBoyz GT. Send your army
