release 51974 AVEVA PDMS 12.0.SP6.6 WCF Update.

Works (is compatible) with:

Other AVEVA Plant (12 series) products on DVDR 41108 (PDMS 12.0.SP6 and associated products)

AVEVA Global Server 12.0.SP6.6 onwards

AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports 12.0.SP6.2 (project data update) release 51960.

AVEVA Model Management 12.0.SP4, Clash Manager 12.0.SP4

AVEVA NET Gateway 1.1

AVEVA PDMS VPRM Gateway 5.1

For full details, please see the compatibility matrix on the http://support.aveva.com/support/.

To Install product release:

Please double-click the installer (file Plant12.0.SP6.7.exe) and follow the instructions. De-installation of the fix release is possible via the Windows Add or Remove programs facility.

Please note that some of the fixes (first released in 12.0.SP6.2) to AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports also require changes to the project data; these are supplied separately as AVEVA Multi-Discipline Supports 12.0.SP6.2 and are described in its release note d51960.

Please note also that this fix release will install the update for Global WCF; however, Global will by default continue to use RPC as the security protocol until further configuration changes are made using the XML configuration files, as described in the Configuration Guide. Full details of

installation are provided with AVEVA PDMS 12.0.SP6.6 WCF Update: see release note d51975.

First released on:

This product release is first available on AVEVA support website http://support.aveva.com as

AVEVA PDMS 12.0.SP6.7, release number 51980.

List of Enhancements

This release includes the following functional enhancements:

In this release

None

Consolidated from previous fix releases

First released in AVEVA Global Server 12.0.SP6 WCF Update, release number 51974 Description

Option for improved security of all global communications, using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). This has been achieved by providing an alternative communications layer, Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) calls, which replaces the existing Remote Procedure Calls (RPC). As a result Global now exploits the security configurations as provided by WCF which are determined through a configuration file located alongside the product. For full details, please refer to the User Bulletin supplied with the AVEVA Global Server 12.0.SP6 WCF Update release.

First released in Fix Version 12.0.SP6.4, Release No. 51971

Description

Isodraft: New capability to swap text enclosure types for welds and part numbers (P-32265) User Grids form can now display multiple user grids (SI-23694 / P-32355) Isodraft: Part and Weld Number Enclosure Types This enables the user to specify the box (enclosure) types for part and weld numbers. By default, ISODRAW encloses part numbers in straight boxes (□) and weld numbers in circles.

The shapes can now be changed to boxes with rounded ( ) or angled ( ) sides for part numbers and straight boxes for weld numbers. The setting can be changed with the PARTNOENCLOSURE command (abbreviated as

PARTNOENC), with options STRGTB, ROUNDB, and ANGLDB.

Command Syntax: >─── PARTNOENC ──┬─ STRGTB ─┐ │ │ ├─ ROUNDB ─┤ │ │ └─ ANGLDB ─┴──>

Query: Q PARTNOENC

Examples: PARTNOENC STRGTB plots part numbers in straight boxes and weld numbers

in circles (default); PARTNOENC ROUNDB plots part numbers in rounded boxes and weld numbers

in straight boxes; PARTNOENC ANGLDB plots part numbers in angled boxes and weld numbers

in straight boxes.

Restrictions: To avoid inconsistency, it is not possible to change the weld number enclosures independently from those for part numbers.

Description

SI-4931 P-23513 The Total Weight for the MDS-WitchHanger Interface HANGER supports, including those included in a MDS GROUP support, is now output on the relevant MDS ABA generated support drawing. All the MDS-WitchHanger Interface HANGER components now store their weight in the new UDA :MDSCPLWEIGHT. The hanger component weight value is stored at the new UDA :MDSCPLWEIGHT, which is dynamically extracted from the WitchHanger support name OUTPUT “<supportname>.wof” file on exiting the WitchHanger interface software in the MDS DESIGN application. This new weight functionality applies to both the creation and the modification of MDS–WitchHanger Interface HANGER supports. Please note that a database change is required. A macro is provided – see P-31531 below
